I guess that the lifespan of the wardens also depends on the age of the person? I have the idea that on average, people reach an age of about 60-70, but wardens get at about 50-60 instead? I got that idea from how Duncan and Riordan reacted in DA:O (stating something like they were getting close to their calling anyway?).

And don't blame Anders, blame Justice  I don't know, I really like Anders character... Heck, I'd avoid him like the plague irl, but as a character in the game I think he is amazing. Angsty, schizofrenic, romanticly idealistic guy with low self esteem? I don't know... it appears like there is so much below the surface within that character. Things partially already present during awakening (somehow I feel that his goofy appearance is just a mask, to appear though whilst actually he is not... I mean, the guy doesn't even have a real name? How to burn self-esteem to the ground: Hey, 'Dutchman!'... I guess he has always had some desire to actually BE someone, mean something for someone, have a life...), and gets fuelled and twisted during DA:2 due to Justices interference.
I really wouldn't mind to get to know more about him, but I hope it will somehow be possible for him to not fully turn into Justice's puppet.

Yeah, it was a shame we weren't given the chance to explore his personality further by having investigative conversations with him like we could in DA:O.

Gawd, I hope they've brought that back for DAI. I know we won't be able to talk to them when we're running around in the open world/areas, but hopefully when we're back at base, or in "safe areas" then we'd be able to interactive with them accordingly.

Man, could you imagine the torment of finally getting Cullen as a companion/LI, or him being important enough to warrant us returning to speak with him, only for us to not be able to have a proper conversation with him, like in DA2, LOL.

I hope they do. They've acknowledged that we like being able to kiss our LI when we want to!

Well, whenever you want when you aren't out in the open world. Apparently we won't even be able to click on them when we're running around.

Not even for a bit of "Hey, quick thoughts on this place!" or "I am yours" from Fenris?

Nope, no barks or anything... that's gonna feel weird. They'll still banter between themselves though.

:crying: Nooooooo! *goes to cry in a corner*

I really hope we get the DA:O way back of being able to interact with the companions, anytime, anywhere... Much more realistic too! Ok, maybe not have sex on the road in the middle of a busy town, but I do demand kisses! :kissing:

Already thought the 'drag person x to this specific spot in order to initiate interaction' from Awakening edgy, so I hope that the 'you cannot click the companions' is not going to happen :( I really liked that you could 'ask for input' in origins, even if they would not give any. The dialogue wheel in DA:2 with the sometimes popping up 'ask that specific companion' was not as good imo.

*whoops double post*

Anyway... would we get more threeway banters, like in the DLC's from DA"2? I really liked that.

Hmm, I wonder if that will feel even more like the followers get to know each other better than we know them. I always felt supremely left out of their conversations during DA2.

It's definitely happening. They said at the DAI demo thing I went to in London.

Apparently they're looking into ways to have the Inquisitor take part in those banters. No idea if they managed to do it successfully though.

I liked that, too, although I also thought it was nice knowing definitively who would actually have something worthwhile to say in DA2 (there were  a few trigger points in Awakenings that I never figured out!).

didnt Alistair say in the game that wardens have 30 years to live or something like that? So im guessing in DAI would be about 10 12 years or so so they would still have some time till their calling

DG said that it doesn't last 30 years and that it's closer to 10. Dunno why he bothered to have Alistair say 30 in the first place really.

My friend said DG said at a on that it depends on the location and length of time you spend in the Deep Roads.

So the longer you spend in the Deep Roads, the quicker you die....

Where did he say that its 10 years? Its not even listed in the Wikipedia or World of Thedas. When did that change?

He said it in a bunch of interviews and in the forum. I'm not at a computer currently, so I can't grab the links (iPhone sucks for that). If R2's still around she'll probably have the links handy.

He shows up in Act 3 during a secondary quest called "Finding Nathaniel." You have to rescue him from the Deep Roads. Because of a bug, you can only get the quest if he was in your party at the end of Awakening (he had to help you fight the Mother) or if you used the "Martyr" or "No Compromise" default backgrounds.

He was in DA2. If I remember correctly... In Act 3. You find his sister Delilah near the Chanter's board and she gives you a quest to find him. Mind that you have to have a save import with Awakening where Nathaniel survived.

There's a glitch w/ the console versions where if he wasn't w/ you in the final battle w/ the Mother, then he is imported as dead and you get the quest w/ the missing dwarves instead. Sucked since I always wanted to bring Anders, Justice, and Oghren w/ me but oh well

Somehow I think the Warden's expiry date is closer to twenty years. Duncan was a Grey Warden for approximately that long, as was Riordan.

Also, Larius encountered Malcolm Hawke a good 25 years before you run into him in Legacy, and unless Larius has been running around the Deep Roads as a ghoul for 10-15 years, that decade estimate must be wrong.

Yea I go that quest when I imported my normal save, thats why I was like  how are these ppl  seeing Nathaniel didnt know you have to put a specific save to get him
