Rawr, that looks SEXY Melora :D If he is going to look like that in DA:I I am going to squee for ages :D

And they make me so curious when the defs are speaking about things in a way you still have no clue what they are talking about... I guess they are adding extra content?

It's strange isn't it.

It also makes me wonder what the game would have been like if it had come out this year instead. Obviously we would've been restricted to just the one race (presumably human), but aside from that I wonder if the game would have felt lacking like DA2 did, even though it still would have had more time on it that DA2 actually did.

I think (and hope) that this extra year will have taken DAI from a good game, to an outstanding one. I'd love for it to surpass DA:O, gawd knows I need a good long game that I can replay time and time again and still discover something new... the last game to do that was Origins.

I am not sure if I will be able to compae DAÖ and DAI enough to say which one is better without getting pure subjective, as I assume that the games will be quite different. DA2 was not bad either (I actually like it that is not the classic epic story with 'hero saves the day'), but more development time would have put it on a level equal to DA:O.
So yeah, I have good hopes for this extra year of development!

Hell, even now I keep finding new things about DA:O and DA2 that I hadn't seen or known about in my previous 50+ playthroughs. However, I've got to the phase now where it feels like a chore trying to play through both games because I've played them so much and spent so many hours in-game.

Mass Effect 3 was supposed to tide me over until DAI, and I had planned to do one more run through of all 3 games. However, after that ending(s), even with the extended cut DLC I just can't bring myself to play them again... well, that and my Xbox 360 broke, so I can't anyway!

Yeah, right now Fall 2014 feels a million miles away but it'll come round quick as a flash. I can remember this time last year complaining about how long it was gonna take to get to Fall this year, and it's literally flown by.

If anything the wait will be easier from now on, now that they've actually started releasing proper information about the game.

ME is just not a series you can replay over and over (that's purely a subjective opinion of course lol); I mean, I, who loved all three games, endings and all, have only played through the whole trilogy once. I don't see myself picking it up again anytime soon.

I, too, have played the DA games over and over and over again, to the point where I can't play my favorite game, DA2, anymore. I want to complete my Merrill romance because it's the only incomplete romance I have, but it's sooo hard. Not because Merrill isn't great, but everything BUT the romance just bores me to tears at this point.

Now I only have one complete DA:O playthrough, but I have SEVERAL Wardens; just can't finish the game a second time due to length, and it's not like I'm going to make different choices... that's my problem; I was basically play the same person, even if s/he has a different personality or background. And anyway, what difference does it make if I side with Zathrien instead of the werewolves this time?? You know? (Same with DA2)

Hence the Keep :D

I'm just glad I've become dangerously obsessed with Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (due in part to the awesome thread here on the BSN; the game would be a chore without making friends and hiring friends' pawns). I can see myself playing this up until Fall 2014, after which... DA:I here I come!!!!!!!

Although hopefully we'll get the Keep and perhaps the CC before even that.

Man, if they brought out the CC earlier for whatever reason that would tide me over all year! I'd just play around with all the settings and see what types of looks I could come up with, lol.

No kidding; I don't know how many times I brought up ME3's CC and played around with it without even going into the gameplay demo lol

I loaded up DA:O to fiddle around in the CC and tried to make my Inquisitor because I figured the mods might help... but it just wasn't the same.

Omg, I had another DAI dream, but this time it was just before the game was release and a bunch of little books came out about the characters and enemies etc. I found Cullen's page in the book and it said that he had been taking a vacation at the time the veil ripped (LOL!) And upon hearing of the Inquisition forming offers his services to the Inquisitor to help put a stop to all the madness.

It also said that since his experience in Kirkwall and the events that occurred after he has become very battle weary and war hardened, however is still willing to listen to others and wants to find a peaceful solution to the mage/templar conflict etc.

Strange dream, lol.

This "wolf amongst us" game totally reminds me of the "once upon a time" show, just darker, bloodier and with more cussing.

After I played the game I wanted to replay "The walking dead" games and make totally different decisions. It's just not the same when you replay that game, it doesn't have the same emotional effect. Doesn't matter if you save that person or the other one, they are gonna die anyway. You choose to save that kid over the other, oh well, the kid you chose is going to die no matter what ... Sorry, done ranting.

I have replayed ME3 over and over again, but I can not get myself to play ME1 or 2. DA:O really feels dated to me, especially with that silent Warden just staring at me. I get my Warden made and I usually get to the Circle quest and then I quit because I hate the Fade portion. On my Laptop I have the skip the fade mod, but I like to play on my Xbox more. I still play DA2 here and there, but it feels so short, I also don't like the scripted conversation with your companions. I always do the companion quests asap, after that I only have stupid side quests or quests I don't want to do left and then it drags.

I'm wondering about when they made the decision to delay the game, I mean it was supposed to come out this year and they still are working on dialogue and voice over. It just kind of baffles me on how much more stuff they're adding, not that I'm complaining. Even though somethimes I'm a bit worried that they're trying to "shove" too much stuff in it and something will have to take the backseat.

I'm trusting BioWare, I love every game I ever played. I'm just worried that they're trying to make this epic game and satisfy everyone, which is never going to happen.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. The first time through that game was among the best gaming experiences I've ever had, but replays just don't do much. Mostly cause you know right away how they are masking the consequences of your choices since you've seen the end to all the subplots (and main plot).

That's why I make myself spread the companion quests out a bit on replays. It's easier to do a sidequest or two in between the companion quests after all, instead of lumping them all together =)

Yeah, I'm quite afraid that pretty much every change in direction I loved in DA2 will be going away. Inquisition is Origins 2 in my mind until it proves otherwise. Of course, I really like Origins so I'm not at all hesitating to preorder an Origins 2, but I would have hyped a DA2-2 even more so.

I alternate from crying my eyes out to laughing hysterically over Omid's height for the whole of episode 5. Then when I got to the end, I just cried and couldn't sleep because I was crying so hard. And I am a very unnattractive crier, no matter how vivid green my eyes turn. I've done a replay, where I did the exact same thing. It does lose some power the second time around, but I still remember the first time I played it.

400 Days was awesome too. Made me cry with Bonnie's story. Love Bonnie, I hope and pray to the Maker, Elven Gods, the Old Gods and the Stone that she'll be the protagonist of Season 2.

Same, though I'm more optomistic than you guys :D But it does seem that all the stuff I loved about DA2 (Hawke's personality, all bi LI) could POSSIBLY be disappearing, whereas stuff I didn't care about in Origins (isometric camera thing) are returning. BUT I get to play as an elf, so it's all good xD

Happy Candadian Thanks Giving! Out of curiosity, do you guys eat turkey on your thanksgiving holiday? Like at our house, we have a roasted stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams with butter and brown sugar, green bean casserole, steamed vegetables, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie and usually another kind of pie, most the time apple or peach. Edit: forgot to add that we eat the stuffing from the turkey, which is made from cornbread and spices and celery and onions, and if I'm making it, apples and walnuts, too.

Oh, and how are you liking Skyrim?

I want Molly to be the protag! She was awesome, and her exit from the first Season seemed very elusive, like they wanted us to know that we were going to be seeing her again. Even if you don't shoot the Walker attacking her, her fate is unknown. So she's got that whole "plot sheilding" thing goin on. Plus dat climbing axe  That's totally my new #1 zombie apocalypse necessity right now, after seeing how useful it is in that game and the new Tomb Raider.

Seems like good news ^_^ I don't care so much how much skin is shown but the idea that this is the culmination of a carefully fostered relationship sounds like a good thing. Hopefully the love scenes won't be quickly brushed over like DA2 or ridiculously cheesy like in DA:O
