Lol, it's probably not Stroud. To be fair I'd probably flip my **** if Stroud got a companion spot instead of Cullen (especially considering Stroud's involvement is even smaller than Cullen's was).

DA Factoid time! A complete list of all characters who are -definitely- wardens and -definitely- alive, from the games: 1. Stroud

Nice! I like me some Stroud, I mean that guy rocks that mustache :P He also shows up when you make your Sibling a Grey Warden.

I bet he is some higher up Orlesian Warden, since Janeka asked him for the Hawke's sibling blood, if you made them Warden.

Now I'll imagine the 'mages are not people like you and me'-line to come along with a big wink or something else to show that he actually knows what is going on, but will not act upon it.

Cullen doesn't strike me as a winker at all.

 Problem is that subtile facial  signs are hard
to do in the game...

Lol, naw. I don't think he was in on it. Anything he said or done in DA2 he clearly believed in at the time good or bad, even if at the very end he realised the error of his ways, or didn't. Whatever, lol.

:crying: But, but... I want to believe in him! That he is not a bad templar! (well ok, maybe a bit...)

He's not bad (he was just drawn that way).

But seriously, he's not bad just very mentally scarred by his past experiences. According to his DA:O dialogue he was inexperienced and "new to this" back in the Ferelden Circle, so when he was attacked and tortured by blood mages/demons he had no idea what to expect. It's no wonder he hardlined for a while, but surprisingly he did start to realise that the way Meredith ran things was wrong.

Yes, it took him 7 years. Yes, he probably could've stepped up sooner before Meredith went too far. BUT he's only human, he's a very messed up person inside and to be fair if I'd been tortured I'd probably be suffering PTSD too. Actually, in truth I'd probably be completely bat sh!t insane, so his recovery at all is something to be admired.

Absolutely, as he did not receive any help in overcoming his ordeal from the circle. If he would have received psychological support he might have recovered sooner, but as he didn't: kudo's for him for still being able to see things in another light.

Well, he got sent to the Chantry in Greenfell so I guess he was told to pray a lot, read a bunch of chants and maybe seek advice from the sisters/mothers or whoever that were there. I can't imagine they were much help though.

Edit: Hi everybody! Hopefully not everyone has run off and gone to bed, which seems what usually happens when I manage to slink on over here these days

Interesting:

David Gaider ‏

Weekend spent writing. I actually finished what I set out to do. That comes with a really good feeling, even if I am kinda exhausted.

Mike Laidlaw ‏

@davidgaider Oh? Kick ass.

David Gaider ‏

@Mike_Laidlaw Yeah, I only have the main hub left now-- so I'll be completely done before the end of the week. Woo!

Mike Laidlaw ‏

@davidgaider That's kind of a land speed record, even for you. Killer. Thank you.

Lol, think I'll just hide in here untill the storm has passed.

And Nikki, I think you have just discovered the theme that would play during the romance scene if Stroud would be a LI. XD

I like when David finishes early. That way he can go to work, thinking he has nothing to do, only to have another designer give him writing duty for something he originally didn't think required writing. Then we'll see a piece of heaven descending.

I mean, last time this happened, he wrote HK-47 ;)

Looks like they are writing quite a lot... Yay, more content! Image IPB I'll do my best to stop wondering exactly what they are writing...

Sounds like they're adding a lot more content to the game than I initally thought. I still find it strange that they're writing character dialogue still, but then I remember that the extra year allows them to add in A LOT. I mean, they managed to get DA2 out in little over a year, which, despite its flaws is an impressive feat!

I am really happy that they are adding more content and dialogues. Perhaps re-adding things which got first scrapped due lack of time? Polishing things... ah yes, it makes me more excited about it all.

Sounds like it's gonna be a big game with just the main story on it's own, and that's not including all the side quests, side plots, exploration and different plot paths you can go down. It'll certainly tide us over until the next Mass Effect game, or DA4.

Yes, I think I will be missing a lot on my first play through (and perhaps also on the following playthroughs). I love it, great replay value Image IPB Seeing I can still keep myself busy with the previous DA games, I think I can keep myself from getting bored for quite some time.
