I had to shag Isabela to stop her running off, romanced Seb once for science... didn't do much for me, not enough content. Tallis seems to always steal my nose, even when I'm rude to her. 

I think it would have been hilarioius if they would have had a scene where you could use the murder knife to cut off Tallis's nose after she does that to you.

So now I wonder ... was Cullen given to the Chantry when he was a little kid or did he join at a later age. Because the templar recruits in DA2 visited the brothel rather often. So was Cullen a naughty boy too?

I'm under the impression that Cullen joined the chantry at a young age, because of his shyness towards the other sex in DA:O. He gave me another vibe than Sebastian, who had been quite naughty before being shipped of to a chaste life.

Hard to say. In his deleted dialogue in DA:O he said he joined the Templars because he wanted to be a Knight (basically he had a bit of an over romantised idea of what it would be like, lol).

Whether or not that'll still be the case in DAI, if we get the opportunity to ask him, or if they'll change it to something more dramatic/heart breaking (like being an Orphan left to the Chantry, or whatever) remains to be seen.

I like the whole shy business, I really do; I love Alistair to bits, but I really hope we get at least one male LI that takes what he wants. It doesn't have to be Cullen, can be someone else. Anders did kind of fill that role and I'm a bit worried that the whole backlash means that our Inquisitor is going to have to do all the initiating. Honestly the first time I got his kiss scene .. phew, that was hot!

I so agree with you on that. I loved it that some actually take the first step and start flirting/being forward instead of waiting for the pc to make a first move... I don't get why some people started to rage about that.

I wouldn't like to classify characters in such a binary fashion; sure, Alistair was shy; he was also a virgin and a dork. And yet he was a romantic... can't go further than that since I never romanced him. Zevran was not shy, but Zevran was also afraid of romance, so while Zevran was (cutely) aggressive about getting the Warden into bed, he was very shy when it came to romance. Fenris was not a virgin or a shy man by nature, but experience made him wary (and it's true he did look embarrassed sometimes when Hawke complimented him). Anders was not shy, was romantic, and an aggressive lover who went after the person he wanted.

All four different personalities to me. If Cullen's a LI, well, I suppose the writers will handle him how they will, but... shyness is definitely part of his character, but to me he's also a man who is very proud, and very determined in his beliefs and ideals. I don't think he will stutter and blush around his intended at his age. He might stutter initially before the romance is initiated because he IS shy, and perhaps lacks experience to some degree (though PLEASE don't let him be a virgin, writers! >.<). But I think the writers will handle the relationship with deft fingers... he won't just be some shy stereotype.

Flirting 'activates' the romance, and you can still activate one in Act 2 which still puts him off. So if my Hawke flirts with everyone in Act 1, all romances are considered active, but only one can go through past Act 2. Sleeping with a companion locks you in, assuming you don't then break up with them and Anders and Merrill always take precedence over Fenris and Isabela.

I don't think you need to seduce him. There's that option. And then there's knocking him over on the head. I quite strongly remember my warrior Hawke outdonking him instead of doing something Isabela may have disapproved of.

I don't think you need to seduce him. There's that option. And then there's knocking him over on the head. I quite strongly remember my warrior Hawke outdonking him instead of doing something Isabela may have disapproved of.

The Cullen romance mod uses some of it when your Amell/Surana encounters him in his pink cage. Aside from that you can go audio file diving in the DA:O PC files, but it's tricky to convert the files so that you can hear them all. I bet someones done a written transcription of it somewhere though, could be worth looking for?

I know there is more to the characters, it was just a quick reply. Shy might have been the wrong word for it, I guess I want a more aggressive LI. I'm the type of gamer that wants to see something happen when I choose the heart icon and not being asked "Are you sure about this?" ... "Yes damnit, I'm sure. That's why I clicked the freaking thing." Even Anders got annoying with his "Stay away from me, I'll hurt you" deal after a while. (paraphrased)

I loved that Anders kissed Hawke first, but there was a lot of backlash with him being more upfront with his feelings. Might make the writers go the safe route a'la DA:O. Even Zevran and his famous "massage" got backlash, see what I mean? No special massage for Hawke! 

Backlash! That's why we can't have nice things!
