I'm so bored. I really need some good info. I watched the whole gameplay demo again last night and now I want it sooo bad. But I guess I'll just try to get though this DA2 playthrough instead.
Even though they have said that a lot of things were nailed down, things got changed quite a bit since the one year delay, if you remember right, playing only as a human was also "nailed down" until they decided to bring the races back so I'm guessing that its either a new companion or they have switched some characters around.
For me right now whenever they said something is set in stone not sure I believe them anymore, because a lot of things can change with the extra time given and with the help of the feedback they get either for the forums or elsewhere as we have seen already

That was just DG saying what he'd like to do in terms of companion/LI reveals. However, he doesn't have any control over when that sort of thing gets released to the public, so it wasn't a case of it being true or false, it was just something that he'd do if he had any say in the matter (which he doesn't).

I'm the same. Spoilers just don't affect me since there's no emotional context behind them. I knew what happened in Episode 5 of TWD game before I even started Episode 2, didn't stop me from crying all night. I knew what happened to Meredith, but I didn't have a concept of red lyrium or anything so it wasn't really a big spoiler for me.

I doubt too that the devs would reveal big spoilers, but indeed, fans will. But spoilers will not make me enjoy the game less, so I am not 'afraid' of them.LolaLei wrote...

'd!) So, as with all things DA:I, time will tell. 
And, yeah, it was MLaw who said the vague "next year" for more companion reveals, which presumably folks will dissect and re-interpret as Jan 1, 2014, like they did with evil!Chris's "next Spring" earlier this year. I just hope that doesn't mean we won't get any more info this year. It does feel a little dry now that we've exhausted the Aug/Sept info dumps for hidden morsels.

Well if its not gonna be on Valentine's day then I hope it will be in one of the upcoming conventions of next year, and if not then either, then we will just have to wait till the game comes out

What I'm intrigued about is how our predictions, fanfic, fanart etc hold up once DAI comes out. Will we read stuff back and find it bizzare if, for example, Cullen ends up a companion/LI available to the Inquisitor?

Oh, I'm totally not complaining. I love all the fanfic/art/predictions/etc, I just find it really weird reading back on past stuff after knowing more information. For example, over a year ago we had this discussion about red lyrium and I predicted that at least some Templars would end up taking/using red lyrium to give them "an edge" but that it would end up sending them completely mental killing anything in their paths, then that demo comes out and we have red Templars! It was just strange/amusing to revisit past posts to see how correct (or incorrect) we were.

If he is not a LI... I will have to completely reconstruct my ideal Inquisitor. I usually build my character based on who I want to romance. And I've had my heart set on Cullen for over a year now.
