I thought I heard somewhere they were including them in Inquisition, but I am not positive on that.

They are magic circlets, so they're okay
Dragon's Dogma has the dragonwing circlet, which is like the granddaddy of all circlets. No one calls you a princess when you're wearing this baby

Heya! Hope everybody had a good holiday yesterday.Mahumia wrote...
As far as I know this is never mentioned ingame. Personally, I think Cullen was sent away in order to recover from his trauma at the Ferelden circle, as the 'went on a mage killing spree' ending was retconned. I guess Kirkwall was considered to be 'stable', and therefore a good choice for someone who has been through a lot. Greagoir seems to be a person who cares a lot for his men.Kirrahe1 wrote...
Hello again Cullen thread, hope you are all scoring mad amounts of candy.
So I have a question for you guys that may have already been discussed. I was reading around the BSN thread a while ago and someone made a comment about how Greagoir sent Cullen away to Kirkwall look out for him. His/her statement was that he did it because Cullen’s views were to extreme and didn’t fit in with the tower and therefore he wouldn’t be able to advance in the ranks. I guess I can see that as possible scenario but I always figured he shipped Cullen off because he was too much to handle with everything else also going on. So did I miss something and it talks about it in the game? If it doesn’t what was the impression you guys got from Cullen being in Kirkwall? Was Greagoir looking out for him or was Cullen to much trouble to deal with?
Late to the party, but I hope I can chime in on this without stepping on anybody's toes.
As I understand it, Cullen was ultimately sent to Kirkwall because Greagoir did not want to to place Cullen in a position where he would be responsible for those he believed to be directly responsible for his torment. Greagoir was doing this to protect Cullen from himself... and because he felt that having Cullen, who has always been an impressionable young man, lingering around a tower where he could point to a stairwell and say "I was imprisoned here for three weeks and shown visions of my dying friends and my deepest shame by turns" was probably very unhealthy for him.
I don't think Greagoir was deliberately passing off his problems for someone else to deal with, but he was acting within a mindset that allowed it. Greagoir's solution was to attempt to solve Cullen's issues with geography rather than addressing the cause. I don't blame him for that. I didn't see any courses on managing templars with PTSD on the Chanters' Board.
TL;DR: Greagoir probably realized that he was not really "fixing" Cullen, but he was doing the best he could with the tools available.

in real life, yes, but in a fantasy game they seem pretty natural to me. DnD Online had a lot of really pretty ones that let your hair, and hairstyle, still show. They looked more like something Arwen Evenstar would wear, tho, less Miss Havisham-esque aging debutante.Elfman wrote...

Pfft, I wear them every tuesday(Not really, but I did make one w/ my sis on my b-day for fun) For mages I would like to wear a circlet, but my rogues and warriors better be getting some bada** hoods and helms that actually show up in cutscenes!
DA2 had a much better selection of hoods and such and DA:I looks like it will as well, so I'm hopeful I can leave helms visible. Honestly.... if we get that sassy pimp hat... I'm golden!

I wonder if this is a signal to the gaming industry that consumers aren't interested in extremely violent and sexist content in video games and won't accept it anymore.

Completely off topic, but has anyone played GTA V? I was shocked when my brother-in-law, who's been a long time fan of the series (he and I both played GTA3 together, way back when), said he was revolted by the game and would be returning it.

Haven't tried it yet, but yea the subject matter and overall attitude towards women in the game are usually pretty off-putting for me. I'm not super sensitive to that sort of stuff, but to the extent it's been in previous games is just gross. It's doing very well though, so I doubt any message is getting sent to the industry and certain developers.
I was just b*tching to my bf that it seems like Microsoft/Xbox has the most male centric marketing it seems. Their commercial for the Xbox One, where the men get "recruited" into the games, I literally just yelled at my screen "What? No women can get pulled into the games? C'mon!" *rage* I will sell my first born for a RPG Zombie survival game that features a female lead (Walking Dead Season 2!!!! Can't wait to play as Clem!)
