That was really interesting, R2M! You should seriously think about starting a new thread to share it with the rest of the community!R2s Muse wrote...
Lola, you might find this interesting. Was checking out Mary Kirby's twitter, and she gave a shoutout to this "interesting analysis of the veil". It talks about your fave, veil ripping theory!

I totally missed the MK part - does she have a different user name she uses?
Still, I'll totally repost it, but only if I have permission to point the credit back to you for finding it!

I agree, brush... but you know me... not too keen on leaving my Culleny comfort zone. But, someone (read: LolaLei or brushyourteeth) should do that, since it's an interesting topic. I think what's most telling is that Mary Kirby commented on it... What I love the most is the mention of the dragon stuff from the comic. I think there something there about the Old Gods and what the Veil is/should be.
edit: IMO, this one is also interesting food for thought.

Ugh. Yup. ^This. Oh well.At least they want to engage us in... something. Still cool. Even if I won't be chiming in this time. My answer to where do I want them to announce something is "on the internet" where I'll hear it first anyway. LOL
I'm with ya... too busy being 'mom' to go to any events so unless DG is coming to my house for coffee and a chat, I'm afraid it'll be internet updates for me as well.
(FYI - sprained my wrist badly. Typing with one hand blows so my comments will most likely be short for a while.)
Aw, how did you manage that?

It sounds like the best way to prevent the Veil from tearing is to eliminate mortal suffering altogether - especially for mages.

I did a triple axel over a black suitcase in the dark. Ironically, I had moved it to the end of the bed so my husband wouldn't trip over it.
I won't ask why you were doing triple axels in the bedroom with your husband.meanieweenie wrote...

Oh dear, well, at least they were asking those questions. Just in case. I remember my one and only black eye resulted in the same assumptions. Made me want to wear a sign that said, "No! Rugby injury!"meanieweenie wrote...

Oh if only it were that kinky! lol (Although, sometimes I do rock myself in the bedroom as I hold my knees crying "WHY??? WHY???" a la Nancy Kerrigan)
I was amazed to have no less than SIX different people in the ER ask me if all was well at home and if things were ok with my hubby. One nurse asked me 3 different ways how I got the ginormous contusion. I should've come up with something more exciting, I guess. Like I was out at 4am fighting crime and Robin ran me over with the Batcycle.
