Lola, you might find this interesting. Was checking out Mary Kirby's twitter, and she gave a shoutout to this "interesting analysis of the veil". It talks about your fave, veil ripping theory!

That was really interesting, R2M! You should seriously think about starting a new thread to share it with the rest of the community!

It sounds like the best way to prevent the Veil from tearing is to eliminate mortal suffering altogether - especially for mages.

I agree, brush... but you know me... not too keen on leaving my Culleny comfort zone. :D But, someone (read: LolaLei or brushyourteeth) should do that, since it's an interesting topic. I think what's most telling is that Mary Kirby commented on it... What I love the most is the mention of the dragon stuff from the comic. I think there something there about the Old Gods and what the Veil is/should be.

edit: IMO, this one is also interesting food for thought.

I totally missed the MK part - does she have a different user name she uses?

Still, I'll totally repost it, but only if I have permission to point the credit back to you for finding it!

Hmm, let's see if I can figure out this newfangledy twitter thing. She's BioMaryKirby. The actual tweet is here from Jul 12, altho the tumblr post is from about 2 months ago.

I suppose I don't mind being referenced, but I didn't actually really do anything.

edit: I was perusing it after looking at the DA Twitter Thread.

Lol, I don't blame you only sticking to the Cullen thread, there are some real dicks knocking about in the DA2 forum in general. You're not missing much though, it's the same old threads popping up time and time again lol.

Ugh. Yup. ^This. Oh well. :( At least they want to engage us in... something. Still cool. Even if I won't be chiming in this time. My answer to where do I want them to announce something is "on the internet" where I'll hear it first anyway. LOL

I'm with ya... too busy being 'mom' to go to any events so unless DG is coming to my house for coffee and a chat, I'm afraid it'll be internet updates for me as well.

(FYI - sprained my wrist badly. Typing with one hand blows so my comments will most likely be short for a while. Image IPB)

Aw, how did you manage that?

I did a triple axel over a black suitcase in the dark. Ironically, I had moved it to the end of the bed so my husband wouldn't trip over it.

Good read! I find it funny that the answer to anything is world peace (eliminate mortal suffering).... or 42. lol

I won't ask why you were doing triple axels in the bedroom with your husband. Image IPB

edit: sorry, also meant to say, "ouch!"  ;) It's funny how confident we can get walking around in the dark... until we move something...

Oh if only it were that kinky! lol (Although, sometimes I do rock myself in the bedroom as I hold my knees crying "WHY??? WHY???" a la Nancy Kerrigan Image IPB)

I was amazed to have no less than SIX different people in the ER ask me if all was well at home and if things were ok with my hubby. One nurse asked me 3 different ways how I got the ginormous contusion. I should've come up with something more exciting, I guess. Like I was out at 4am fighting crime and Robin ran me over with the Batcycle.

Oh dear, well, at least they were asking those questions. Just in case. I remember my one and only black eye resulted in the same assumptions. Made me want to wear a sign that said, "No! Rugby injury!"

Haha nice!  Perhaps the next time someone asks you how you got your injury you could tell them you were teaching your kid how to wrestle bears.  Hope you get better!

Funny, all I can think when I look at it is, "it's upside down." Yeah, I'm a DA2 player.  LOL Awesome.

This also reminds me yet again that we need someone to design more Cullen swag...

I'd be willing to bet that they do know it's upside down and it's on purpose.... to avoid copyright infringement. Sneaky bastages.

I could totally rock that hoodie! lol Bioware needs to get it on the store rack. :)

Well, to be fair, whoever made it may be a DA:O fan, since the Fereldan templars wear the sword of mercy pointed up, instead of down like the Kirkwall templars. But, you know, I never noticed before the the direction of the flames is different between the two! LOL So, looks like this is the DA2 templar logo, but upside down, instead of the actual DA:O logo.
