To me too? The DAO profile method no longer seems to work.

It worked for me as of about 2 months ago when I last used the DA:O version (I prefer DA:O character portraits to DA2 because they're larger). BUT, I had to use a clean install version. My old versions of DA:O and DA2 no longer upload new characters anymore (too many mods? too many saves? too many screenshots? who knows!).

So you have to delete DAO and then reinstall it? Delete all PCs/save files as well?

With DA:O, I copied my character save folders to a backup and then deleted them in the main Dragon Age folder (I think I even deleted the whole Dragon Age folder). I then did a full UNINSTALL and then reinstall, created a new character, and vwalaah, it showed up on the my profile within a day. I then copied two of my old character folders back into the Characters folder, and it still worked and uploaded them to my profile, too.

With DA2, I never bothered to troubleshoot it on my main computer (which has gigabytes of screenshots and about 13 characters at present). I had recently done a new DA2 install on a new computer, and so with that version I created a character and it uploaded no problem. I only had about 5 characters on it at the time, a few screenshots and no mods or anything.

So it worked for both as of the end of Aug/beg of Sept.

lol I have tryed that so many times and it still didnt work ..... i once left my DAO opened  for an entire day just so it can sync with this thing and still nothing, altho i have a question does my screen name here has to match my origin one? Couse they are diffrent  is that why i cant sync?

I don't know anything about Origin, but in order for your game to sync you have to log in to your BSN account from the game. So presumably whatever you use to log in here is what you need to use in your game. I didn't know you could have different usernames between BSN and Origin...?

edit: There are some pointers here. Scroll down to Dragon Age Player Data -- Why isn't my DA character showing up on online?

edit2: It also could just as likely be a problem with mods or other corruptions to your install. You might want to consider a clean install like I  mentioned above.

What I think it doesn't say in either of those tutorials is that the avatar size for DA:O is 146x146, and for DA2 it's 92x92. Hence why I recommend the former.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if ME3 became a special situation with all the issues with the ending. I mean, you see all those types of bad behavior here in the DA threads... but if you added in the nuclear nature of the ME3 ending, the companions threads might have required the True Death.

Yup, most of the people who hated the endings left, except for the ones in the character threads, which as here in DA turned into a place for old time fans to talk and vent.. and what else was there to vent but the alfulness of ME3 to most Li ? Heck even Liara fans were upset with ME3!

So EvilChris found a handy way to boot out most of the me3 ending critics: lock the character threads and any overly critical thread that was going, like the Indocrination theory threads.

Lol, those ME3 endings were the only reason I actually ended up getting really into DA2. I needed to take my mind of it by playing a game where the protagonist absolutely couldn't die.

Wow, poking around in that forum on the BSN changes... folks are *really* pissed. Lots of picking at old scabs with the ME3 closed forums, the loss of Evil Chris, the moderation (and lack thereof) around BSN. Jessica tried to deflect the hate by saying she's not a spin doctor... but maybe they should start consulting one. LOL

Hmm well I havent done a DA cleanup  in about 8 moths I think? And I do have alot of mods... I will try that and see if it works altho when I 1st did it, it just uploaded my acheavements and nothing else lol, but oh well  I will try again with a fresh start thank you once again R2 for the info and sorry for bugging you with this

Exactly what is a community manager supposed to do? Are they supposed to frequently moderate the forums themselves? Or do they lead a team that's supposed to moderate them?

No worries! If it once worked with your achievements, at least something was working! I also had this experience before I reinstalled, that my achievements but not my characters uploaded. You might also want to double check that you have all the toggles in options set to upload your data (I can't remember what they all are).

options in the game or bsn?

In the game. I don't think there are any options in your game profile on BSN. In the game, make sure Upload character profile is checked in Settings - Online. And that you're logged in. (dunno if you need "upload gameplay feedback" but I have that checked, too).

Wow major freak outs over the 'changes' that are coming that no one is really clear on yet...sheesh people need to get a grip.

I'd rather they set up the forums so that it's compatible with DA3 when it comes out. (and work properly)

If this part of the forums get closed, it'll suck, big time. As being one of the people that have been here since...page 21 I think. I feel a bit attached to this thread.

As humans as a race get older, they get greedier. It's like watching a teen freak out on a microwave for not being fast enough with the popcorn. Listen arse ******, we use to have to poor seeds in a machine and wait for that stuff to pop, not to mention the people before my day that had to dry it, wait a few weeks, then cook it over a fire.

My msg, people need to chill. And I find that the fire is starting to spread. They get bored and are starting to rub on us the wrong way or just follow our little group back to it's mother base. I really hope the new forums are superb and put their words and assumptions to shame.

Can you tell I'm sick of people right now?
