Yeah, it definitely feeds into my headcanon about him having a soft spot for Bethany. Defira1985 has a delightful series of stories about CullenxBethany.

But, agree, for a rule follower, he is breaking a rule here. Love it that he seems to be a softie at heart.

If he is a companion/LI or important NPC, I'd like to see him continue along the secret softie route. He kinda reminds me of the tin man from Wizard of Oz, actually. LOL!

Isn't it strange how the lighting in both pictures make him look completely different. In the top one he looks more cartoony and puffy in the face, but in the bottom one he looks more realistic and his features more chiseled... yet it's the same character model, lol.

Yeah. The lightning is dramatically different though. The top is in Darktown, so lit by torches, and the bottom is ostensibly lit by a ray of sunshine penetrating a dark ship hold. Plus my feeble touch up skills so they don't look too dark.

I don't envy the artists and devs having to deal with that! LOL

Agreed. There's some places that the textures become just god awful, and my pretty dark red eyeshadow for my Hawke suddenly becomes clownish and distracting lol Amazing how much good lighting matters in a game

Side Note: oooh! Just found this mod on the Nexus, know some of you other Alistair-mancers might appreciate that it gets rid of the awkward Morrigan/Alistair gettin' busy scene w/ a before and after moment w/ Alistair and your Warden. Going to test it out right now, but thought I'd share for anyone interested

The other members of the thread had a lot of really great comments on the subject and I was very impressed by their level of knowledge.  They also had different and interesting opinions so I recommend reading a lot of their comments as well.

As I mentioned before, I agree with you guys that Cullen has major PTSD going on, so I'll be interested in reading what you all said about it and discussing it further if I have anything to contribute.

I'll check it out after work.  (Before work I have to go try to track down a copy of Westside Story. One of the kids wants to watch it, so I am hoping to encourage good taste in movies. )

I was privileged to test on this mod. It's a great addition for those who romanced Alistair.

And lighting does seem to make a big difference... in both games.

Is this from DG's tumblr post?  I couldn't find it. Did he edit his post? Cullen was hardly mentioned in the post I read.
