Wait, what is auto-attack?
Like in DAO where you just press "X" and your character attacks the enemy without you repeatedly pressing a button.

Lola did a youtube video about how completely wrong she'd been about her opinion on the fur stole issue after trying it on as a gag. And it was like 45 minutes long... all the reasons why they'd be awesome, why everyone needs one and all of the practical uses for them to be in game for DA:I. The stole she was wearing in my dream still had legs on it. Crazy! LOL

LOL That's fantastic!! Man if we don't get fur stoles in the game it's going to be the second biggest disappointment in the game, whether we actually wanted them or not LOL

I really want Cole as a companion and LI
...you know that Cole is functionally a child, right?

How old was the "real Cole" when he died? Mid teenage years or younger?
What does that matter? Physically, Cole is an adult. Mentally, he is not. He does not understand sex, much as a child would not, and this is explicitly stated in the book.
David Gaider wrote...
Yeah, one should not really equate naiveté (or whatever other personality characteristics you consider immature) with Cole. It's explicitly stated that Cole sees people in the tower having sex, and doesn't understand it--there's no concept of arousal, not to mention the social under-development he otherwise displays.
So, that's great news for Cullen fans because that's one less competition as LI lol (However, it does make me think he might be a companion, which again actually ups Cullen's chances of being LI... IF Cullen is a companion, too, which is impossible to even speculate on at this point.)
But it does make me, a Cole fan, sad, because it solidifies stuff about his character that I thought was up in the air. I think I'm less of a fan now. Oh well! Plenty of other cute fish in the barrel

Still wanna hug him though. He's way too much of a cute little thing not to hug
If I can have a character elope with Cullen, screw his brains out and hug Cole, my life will be complete. Might as well just off myself afterwards cause there's nothing left to see in the world at that point. But I'd go in utter bliss ^^
All right, time to dial down the crazy. I'm going into overdrive over here.

I can understand why Cole is not going to be a LI, seeing his mental age. Not sure about him being a companion either (and not just because I want Cullen). I think that he is very interesting, but I have a hard time picturing him in such position with the inquisitor. They appear waaay too far apart, to me.
It could be an interesting dynamic.
I mean, we've had siblings and stuff in the past but we've never had a companion that's like a kid before. I guess we'd get the opportunity to look after him as though he was a child in terms of taking him under our wing and stuff. Could be kinda sweet really. I was surprised how attached to Clem I became in The Walking Dead game, so I can only presume that our maternal/paternal instincts will probably kick in with Cole too.
... Which could be a bit of a problem, if we get to romance Cullen. Hm, this could get dramatic.

I suppose that's the kind of desire for hugs I feel, yeah. And I want moar. Not having kids to get fed up with IRL, I don't really often get to feel that kind of feeling.LolaLei wrote...

He may have, though. But the thing is, we fans don't really know that. It makes sense that David would call out the weird stuff when we don't really know anything but the weird stuff, you know? That would be like if David posted "you like possessed men?" when people fawned over Anders after playing Awakening. The player base is always a game/book behind the currently written world state.motomotogirl wrote...
The problem with me is I thought Cole would develop. The final chapter of Asunder seems to hint that he's evolved to some degree, that he's more self-aware and has even matured. He doesn't seem like a 12 year old boy anymore, just in that very instant, and I thought DA:I would reveal this new, evolved form of Cole. But.... I was wrong lol
I always figured the final scene showed that Cole had matured quite a bit too, though, so you're hardly alone in thinking that. He's gained confidence for sure. But that doesn't necessarily mean he's on an adult level. He's pretty much an overly loyal and co-dependant coward throughout the book; add some confidence to the coward and the final scenes work without him growing any further than that as well.

It could be a bit like the little kid from Jade Empire, she had a demon and a guardian living inside her... mind you, that could be too much like Anders.

Hmm, I'm not sure I'm following here. Why would feeling maternally/paternally toward Cole impact Cullen? Because Cole is probably a demon, and therefore we'd spend every night around camp stopping Cullen's sneaky overtures to kill Cole... ?LolaLei wrote...

Very trueAnd yet it still breaks my heart because I'm a mushy romantic who wanted to fangirl over "evolved" Cole so my Inquisitor could squeeze him and give him cute kisses.
