I'm waiting for the inevitable.....do you play PC or Xbox? Where do you buy your games from? What's your internet speed?

I suspect there will be very few about the story/characters now pre-productions been done. :(

I think we will get some questions on skills down the road

You know, I think I'd prefer this to the marketing and merchandise questions tho. Feels meatier somehow.

Altho, @Melca, I'd also love to see some skills questions, so that would be nice, too.

I'd like them to ask us questions about what our favourite aspects about Dragon Age games are and why (like character depth etc.) If they asked us stuff like that then they'd be able to gauge what people want/like about their games and play to their strengths.

It would be nice if they asked more of the technical questions, it would be really nice if they fixed some of the import stuff especially for the 360...

You know this is something I'm actually optimistic about. I could swear I've heard a dev or two acknowledge that they know this is important to us. Heh, that said, I dunno how they would do it. Let us import our DA:O/ DA:A and DA2 save games? My increasingly preferred option is for a little motion comic that lets us choose our major choices to generate an input file, like they did for ME2 (I think that's right?).

I would really like to see something like the Genesis DLC(I think that's what it's called) for ME2 but for DA3 :D. Not really sure how they would do that, though I have not given that specific ME2 DLC a go so I'm not really sure what they do with it :\\

All I know is that I REALLY missed my Whirlwind talent for my duel weilding rogue. If they brought that back and not just give it to the warrior class I'd be in heaven.

I think it would be cool if they brought back the dual wield for the warrior, I always went for dual wield in DAO because the two handed in DAO was always too slow for me.  If they made a dual wield for a rogue class and a different dual wield type of class for the warrior, that would be nice.  I didn't like being limited to only one-handed/shield and two-handed for my warrior hawkes...  It would also be nice if they brought back the ranger class for rogues, I LOVED ranger specialization in DAO!  Though something that more games could try to do is to bring in different types of weapons like in stead of just Swords, staffs, bows and daggers they could branch out a bit?Image IPB

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I just had an idea (that has probably already been thought of 100x). I would love for mages to have a familiar. As in an animal companion, not unlike Sir-Pounce-Alot. Only you'd have a few options to chose from and each animal would give you a different perk. I don't know.... maybe a cat will give you a deeper mana pool and a rat or bird would give you +2 magic, etc. Then they would all be able to have an individual activated attack. Is that dumb?

OMFG MAKER NOImage IPB!  I love that!  Like how you could get the shapeshifter option in DAO, I don't see what's so bad about having a familiar either, I think it would make an interesting mix to add to the spirit specialization and/or the blood magic side.  Like maybe you get "Good"-ish types for spirit and "bad"-ish types for blood magic!

Speaking of shapshifting, am I the only one who was disappointed that it wasn't an option in DA2?

Exactly! Give the blood mages a snake or spider or something equally creepy and give them a 'poison' or 'possesion' ability. The good ones, like for instance an owl, would give you something like forsight. And the rat would bring you Orlesian cheese. lol

MissRedZelda - I kind of missed shapeshifting too. You aren't alone.

The Ranger speciality was sort of like having a familiar you could summon, obviously not for mages though. I never wanted to progress the tree though because I liked having a wolf companion.

I tried it, and it quickly became my favourite. My second favourite being Spirit Healer, and then Blood Mage. Never liked Arcane Warrior for some reason (shrugs).

I loved the Ranger! I wish it had been availible for Mage, because it would have really fit it since it was like having a familiar.

Here's a question for you all:

If you could pick any origin you wanted (literally anything that fits within the DA setting) what would you want your protagonist to be? And what do you think Cullen's reaction to your protagonist's background history/class would be?

If I could choose my characters origin/background I'd like to play as a traveler/nomad/gypsy Mage with no emotional ties to any particular area of Thedas, she was orphaned as a young child and rescued by a group of travelers who took her on the road with them becoming like her surrogate family, however they never really treated her as a member of the family, instead treating her more like a servant/protector/personal source of income, using her magical talents and trickery to steal money etc. When she came of age she decided to break away from the group, sneaking off whilst they were sleeping to ensure they wouldn't find her and drag her back with them. Since then she's traveled solo, with only her tamed wolf companion for company. She still uses the "skills" taught to her during her time with her "surrogate family" in order to get by. She's never been part of any circle due to her constant traveling, but there was several occasions as a child when Templars had almost caught her "surrogate family" on the road, during which time they would hide her, unwilling to give up their "meal ticket."

I like the idea of an Apprentice who's grown up under the tutelage of a very open minded (aka non blood mage, non slave) Tevinter Magister. She's been very cut off from the rest of Thedas and the opinion that the rest of the world has of Tevinter. She assumes that everyone loves mages everywhere and sees them as someone to look up to. Her Magister is killed by a competing mage and she has to escape Tevinter to stop herself being killed. It's only when she reaches Fereldan/the Free Marches/Orlais/wherever that she realises Tevinter Magisters are pretty much hated and has to live her life against the ingrained hate that others have for her people.

I think Cullen would be pretty skeptical of her - particularly since Tevinter Magisters are well known for their use of blood magic. She'd need to spend a lot of time convincing him that she had never used blood magic etc. But ultimately Cullen would never trust her completely and thus wouldn't be available as a LI. Ala, how Fenris should never have been a LI for a blood mage in DAII.

Ah, wow, Staarbux, I love this idea! What a great way to turn the mage debate on its head. You'd learn so much from a character like that. But you know, by your scenario, if she's not *actually* a blood mage, I'd hope she could eventually change Cullen's mind (if she were, I think you're right). I think Cullen's got a lot of growing to do in DA3, so that could even help him! But, I agree wholeheartedly with your point about Fenris.

That's an awesome idea! I also like your idea that Cullen's decision to be romanced should be based on certain "conditions", so if your Mage is a blood Mage then it's a definite non-starter etc.

Thanks guys. :kissing: I'm actually quite tempted to write a fanfic based on that but I'm not sure if people really enjoy OC stories...

I've always thought the ability to romance a LI should have been based on 'who' you are rather than things like gender. In my headcanon, Fenris (and Sebastian to an extent) would NEVER have loved a bloodmage. Anders would NEVER have loved someone who spent the entire game slaughtering mages and standing up for the Templars. It just didn't make good sense to me. I hate Anders' line of 'I don't know whether to kiss you or kill you'. When someone is so against who you are as a person I don't understand how you can expect them to fall in love with you.

I understand on a practical scale that the writers have addressed this and admitted they wish they could have made it work but it would have taken too much time. It's a shame really as I don't see those kind of situations as realistic. So many people argue and get upset about the 'all companions are bisexual' issue but there's a lot fewer arguments about 'would Fenris truly have loved a blood mage/Hawke who was okay with slavery'.

Exactly and if they didn't have time to make it work then they should have just stuck to the old love/hate system or not given us the option to be a blood Mage at all. Or maybe some how implied that his/her blood magic was a secret that the companions/LI were unaware of.
