I have only one perfect playthrough too, so I am really happy with the Keep. I just wonder how it will work out? 'Did you make Alistair king? Y/N' or something like that?

I wondered that, too. Maybe it will be like the Mass Effect: Genesis comics? Kind of like an interactive comic where you can make important choices from the previous games and still get some of the back story.

I hope it's more detailed, though. You could miss so many cameos in Mass Effect 2 if you didn't actually play the game and used Genesis only.

I thought maybe it would be a series of check boxes, but the devs have tweeted a couple of times about it being a bit special, so they might have gone the route that Mass Effect did with the interact comic that let you make all the relevant choices?

An interactive comic sounds really interesting and appealing, also for those who have not played the previous two games. Somehow the wolf among us comes to mind...

Argh, when will episode two be out?! They said it'd be released in November, but we're kind of running out of November here! I think all we have left at this point is the Er.

Yeah. I'm really excited for it. I want more Bigby and his sexy tie adjusting!

I'm really weird about the "perfect playthrough" thing - I'm a cruel mistress and don't allow my characters any do-overs.;) If they screw up, they have to live with it.

For example, my Hawke made a terrible mistake that I still regret, but she did it and she has to own it. No reverting to a save and trying again.

I tend to get attached to a character and then they make their choices, rather than getting attached to the choices themselves.

I never go back on the decisions I make during my first ever playthrough because I'm playing as myself, making the choices I would've picked if I were really in that situation.

Yeah. My first playthroughs (I finished Origins last night) will be my "canon" characters that I import, mistakes and all.

Each of my characters made at least one serious mistake, but I like to think they learned from them and grew as people.

I don't do redos on my first playthroughs either. I remember in ME2 accidentally clicking on Grunt to be squad leader 1 my first go, cursed so loud and then just went with it because I just wanted to finish.

Legion and Jacbob bit the bullet first game.

DAO was the omly one where my first go wasn't so amazing; everything was so hunky-dory at the end.

I didn't even know you could let Varric keep it. Oh, wait, now I remember there was that one line. Wow, that could really be a loose canon kinda thing.

As far as the Keep/Village/Wounded soldiers stuff..wow, that seems like alot of running around. Like shopping for the holidays. lol!

And this is just one lil choice. I cannot imagine what the other choices are gonna be like. omg. I'm bracing myself.

My regret from DA2 that I'm making Hawke live with is that (and this is player error as much as anything) she legitimately thought Keran was possessed and treated him accordingly.

He just seemed so... fine, like he wasn't even bothered by what had happened and had no problem hanging out with unknown mages from the party and his primary concern was getting back to his important job where some highly vulnerable people were at his complete mercy. Hawke asked Anders for his opinion and he was no help at all, so Hawke had to make the decision on her own - and unfortunately she misinterpreted what she was seeing.

It was only when I was talking to a friend about it later that I was told the intention was that Keran wasn't possessed, because the way he was written his reactions just seemed really out of step with someone who was genuinely traumatized instead of being manipulative.

Hawke would have made that mistake if she was really there, though, so I didn't let her try again.

My Warden regretted completing Summoning Sciences because some people died as a result, and she decided to leave magic to the professionals from then on - so for in-character reasons she didn't do any of the other Circle sidequests.

Damn. Just as I was about to post in here that it's been a while since anyone's made a thread having a pop at Cullen, one pops up. This time in the form of "Tallis for DA3. Cullen sucks" or something like that. LOL!

Ah well, it was peaceful while it lasted.

It is actually quite possible that Keran is possessed (from a non-metagaming point of view), so on the one occasion I did not bring Anders with me I also did not dare to take the risk.
Heck, poor Connor has also died a few times during playthroughs, as my character did not want to take the risk of more people dying on the hands of that demon... Sometimes we just make horrible decisions for the sake of roleplay....

Actually I saw one the other day where someone was like 'how can someone EVER like Varric and/or Cullen?' And noooo, no more Tallis! I got already tired of her within 5 minutes of playing the DLC :bandit:

Really? I must have missed that one. Honestly, I only pop in the main forum ever so often to look for DAI news.

I actually did have Anders. :? Hawke just didn't think his "test" was very compelling. She thought he was going to do something a little more objective when she made that suggestion, and his logic didn't really make sense to her. If there's a demon, it won't be able to help but manifest with one minor blow that it would have been able to prepare for if it had been paying attention to our conversation at all? Except that she'd seen Anders take major hits all the time without the slightest sign of Justice coming out? My particular Hawke just didn't really see that as evidence either way - it could just as easily mean the demon wasn't a complete idiot as that Keran was actually clean.

My understanding is that Merrill is more compelling, but she wasn't there.

So... Hawke relied on Keran's behavior as her sign, and that sign seemed to say "possessed."

As you say, though, without meta-gaming that was about the best she could do, so I didn't let her change it even though in later acts she realized she was probably wrong.

I think Anders just thought it was a good excuse to shoot some magic at an unguarded Templar. He blatantly enjoyed doing that, LOL!

Yeah, for real! My Hawke would have literally facepalmed if that had been an option. "Can we at least pretend this party has some maturity, please?" :P

To be honest, the DA2 story was so morally murky for my Hawke that the only thing she was 100% sure she did right was friendmancing Fenris.

lol! yeah i saw that. it's a pretty poorly executed troll thread. A combo platter no less. enflame the tallis lover/haters and throw in sum cullen bashing for good measure.

but i swear i can almost hear that kids voice cracking thru the internet.

With Keran the one thing that kept me from killing him was when he said he didn't eat or drink anything they offered. that's the number one rule. never eat or drink anything "they" offer....

i don't know why or how i know that tho.......

Oh come on, finally some good ol' Anders popped up (with shooting lightning at fools) :P But on a more serious note:  Anders has such a dislike of templars that my Hawke believed him when he called the clear on the young templar. Would have been a great opportunity to 'return the favor' his colleagues have done to mages, right?

And for myself: Keran is just waaaaay too cute

Yeah, unless of course he wanted to plant an abomination among the Templars to whittle down their ranks.
