Wow, the Dragon Age pen and paper game by Green Ronin? That's so cool! I love that game and have gotten to play way too little of it =)
It looked hella fun! I've been thinking about it all day. Now I really, really want to play a game like this lol For serious, anyone interested? Maybe we could play over skype. Or just in a chat room (don't have to have voice necessarily). It could be such a fan way to tide us over until DA:I.

I'm a noob at table-tops, but this would be very fun I think!

Here's a Cullen-related discussion topic I've been thinking about this evening:
Say that all the barriers preventing Cullen from being with your Origins mage character somehow disappeared, and he was never traumatized by magic, and they were free to pursue a romance. Would they be compatible?
The answer for my recently created mage character would actually be no. That wasn't my intention - I was planning to inflict some unrequited true love on her - but sometimes characters develop in their own way. She genuinely likes him, so she would be on her best behavior with him and he probably hasn't seen her bad side, but I think her bad side would be things he'd be deeply uncomfortable with. She's blood magic curious, pretty thirsty for power, and has a ruthless streak that I think would go too far for him. He wouldn't know any of that, and I do think he'd have reason to remember her fondly, but ultimately if they'd gotten together I don't think it would have worked out.
Curious what anyone else thought about their mage characters? Would it have been true love with Cullen or a bad match?
Kylan Amell sees Cullen's crush as a tool, mostly. She knows as Irving's apprentice as well as having a templar sweet on her, she can get away with things other mages cannot. Kylan actually hates templars; she was raped by one several times before Jowan brought it to Irving. So, having power over a templar gives her a thrill. I don't think a relationship would last long at all. Poor Cullen would have his heart ripped out (maybe literally). She has a need for constant control, and she will never - ever - fully trust him. I think it's best he's left with the memory of her facade.

As for Florence Amell, she's my shy girl. However, she is also severly depressed. If Duncan had not recruited her, she most likely would have joined Uldred in his attempt to free the Circle from Chantry rule. She is such a private person and so shy, any sort of attention makes Florence nervous (this stems from first discovering her gift of magic - she had set a barn on fire, severely burning several people inside; the stares from the villagers still chill her). So, the templars constantly watching is like having a bug nipping away at the back of her skull. However, one templar's attention...one of admirance...comforts and scares her. A conversation between them - if you could call it that - is full of awkward silences, red faces, and stuttering. I think if Cullen is patient enough, Florence could come around.
Just realized most of my Origin characters have very depressing stories.
