@neonmoth: My pleasure. :). And it's Fergus Cousland.

@Mahumia: That's awesome, and I agree. But having not played ME, Jack wasn't romanceable??? I thought Id seen screenshots that suggested it. Show what you learn from Tumblr! LOL

@Muhumia & R2: ups, it's been few years since I saw his face, thanks for clarification.

@R2, Jack was not romanceable for femshep. It did not bother me as much as how quickly her dialogue options were exhausted. I know I shouldn't harass the girl so much....

Today featured @PatrickWeekes showing me a line of dialog designed to speak directly to the happy places in my soul.

User

Did the dialog involve pronounceable names?

Mike Laidlaw

Shockingly, yes.

Mike Laidlaw

Additional progress: combat team playthroughs resulting in some sharper class focus. Very proud of those guys.

User

rogue players should be excited?!

Mike Laidlaw

I would think so!

User

Can’t wait to see the Rogue! Hoping for a good balance between the shuffling of Origins and the madcap speed of DAII. :)

Mike Laidlaw

That balance is exactly where we're aiming.

User

Lots, lots of people hope that dualwielding warriors will return. Is there any chance?

Mike Laidlaw

We're looking at it, but I wouldn't say the prognosis is great at the moment. It's a hotly requested feature, though, so, in time.

Mike Laidlaw

Finally: stumbled across a level I hadn’t seen in a couple of months since it wasn’t the focus for my playthroughs. It was bloody gorgeous.

Alistair McNally

#BioWare Today I played Dragon Age Inquisition for hours. It is by far the biggest, the baddest, the best game we have ever made. Get ready

 Mike Laidlaw

-Lots- more to do, but I'm glad you enjoyed it

Alistair McNally

where the hell are my poisons?

Mike Laidlaw

Coming soon, in fact. Yaron's got them in the plan.

Alistair McNally

..backs slowly away from the rage cliff.

Mike Laidlaw

There we go. Playing/filing bugs until past midnight. Now we're making a game for real.

Corey Gaspur

he DA gameplay team is making wicked progress, keep it up guys!!

Chris Pickford

Hearing people unable to contain their voice when playing our game has to be one of the most satisfying things to date.

David Gaider

Okay. Time to pack it in for another night. Finished the series of big, critical scenes I needed to write. So exhausted.

Every tweet I read made me happier and happier. :D Good lawd, I really want Inquisition now!

That quote made me a little worried, though. I loved playing as a dual wielding warrior in Origins. I hope they find some way to fit it in the game...

Thanks for posting those tweets. I'm more curios if we will see the Arcane Warrior back then the dual wield warrior.

*clears throat* I have a really dumb question here. I just noticed there was a Cullen Fan Club on BSN (yes, I know I'm sooo very perceptive :P) and I was wondering if I had to ask before I joined it?

Well, I tend to play as a warrior during my first playthrough of DA games. I don't really like using those clunky, giant greatswords and battleaxes, and I already did plenty of playthoughs as a S&S warrior. After a while, S&S just gets bland.

Being a dual wielding warrior for the first time was a refreshing change of pace for me. I like feeling like a rogue without actually being one, y'know?

The only problem I have with dual-wielding warriors is that it seems odd someone could heft and swing two full-sized swords at once. I can only think of like... samurai who do this. And even so, technically just one weapon is a sword; the other is a dagger. So I would be okay with warriors wielding a sword and a dagger, but not two swords. It's weird!

I didn't even like in DA:O how my Warden and Zevran could wield a sword and a dagger. It seemed odd, especially the way the immense weapons sat on their backs; I mean, I was surprised they could even walk upright with those things strapped to their shoulders, lol!

I received my Mabari and Nug Plush toys today and my little girls wont let me have them :crying: They snatched them out of my hands as soon as I unpacked them, lol.

Totally cute and bigger than I thought they would be. Mabari has a bit more detail than the Nug, but they're both adoreable.

Lol, that's how I feel when I see Oghren with that giant axe of his. How the heck does he carry that thing? He must be one strong mofo. :D

Well, about your first paragraph, my F!Cousland would always use daggers. Sometimes I'd swap out a dagger for the Keening Blade or something, in case I need more damage than attack speed, but that's not the point. I'd pump up her dexterity and strength for damage and defense. I'd also give her a lot of willpower so she can use a lot of talents. I even put her in Wade's Dragon Skin Armor because it's light and still protects you well enough. It works fairly well, for me anyways.

I get that. I had a warrior archer in origins for the same reason and it made more sense for my character rp wise. Being "honourable" instead of "sneaky".
I always play healer mage first then an archer and other combat styles after that. If they do bring back dual wielding for warriors I will definetly reserve a play through for it.

I actually love dual wielding myself (on LARP), as it gives you lots of attacks in a small time when you can attack someone who is distracted, yet you can also defend yourself easily by using one weapon to block whilst striking with the other one in case someone comes after you. For a rogue two daggers would probably be most logical, but for a warrior I think two swords are just fine as well. As long as one does not come up with 'lawl, watch me fight with two bastard swords at once!'... Well ok, unless you're a Kossith and wield a sword that a dwarf would call 'bastard sword' :P

Aaaah Cullen, always nice to see some Cullen lol

You guys, totally off topic, but I've just seen the lastest episode of the Walking Dead, and I'm emotionally drained... I haven't felt this way since I saw the GoT Red Wedding episode.

Thank god for this stable fun to read thread^^
