I accidently bought an elite unit when trying to get the Revenent, I wondered why it was asking for my password. Anyway, I got Orsino and he's more than a bit overpowered if you ask me.

Unrelated to HoDA, I've been thinking about DAI's companions. Even though I used to be so sure, I'm really starting to doubt Cullen's companionnness. It's actually starting to make me feel a bit sick.

If there's to be no Cullen, and there's no (evolved) Cole (just to reiterate that I did not want to romance 12-year-old-trapped-in-20-year-old-body Cole lol), then I guess the only one left whom I'm even slightly interested in is the Grey Warden guy.

All my excitement for the game will plummet if my Inquisitor has to be forever alone   DA:I will just become "a great game" a la Skyrim or Dragon's Dogma. Not, you know... a BioWare game. Sigh.

But who knows; Vivienne was a complete surprise. The remaining companions could also be a complete surprise, having nothing to do with the concept art or survey leak.

MMG, I'm not sure if it's still on but I could start a table top game instantly. Don't have the ruleset yet, but I could get it.

Oh, and as for Gaider, I think he just wants the argument to stop. So many requests revolve around the romances, and then you get the other crew coming in with "don't pander to these nutters!" and I think he's fed up with it. He's actually really fair in his "you're all nutters!" stance.

Ha, that was DA2 for me. It's weird, I like that the romances are there if I want them, but actually using the content is not that important to me. I only ever played half a Fenris romance in DA2, didn't tickle my fancy, but I would be very sad to see no romances available at all.

Grey Warden guy and Cullen would be adequate compensation for my sad, lonely Hawke I think.

Yup, I'm crazy, and I love it  I guess it is indeed quite annoying to have rabid lunatics demanding 'X for LI' all the time... I'm more of the begging and sending cookies to the BW hq approach, lol.

I haven't yet bought the package, but if required I might be able to get my hands on it this weekend.

Regarding the HoDA: I have been playing for a few hours now. Not really getting the hang of it yet, but I usually suck at these kind of games.  I appear to get my behind handed to me as soon as the difficulty is more than 'easy'... Yet what grinds my gears the most is the language: I want it in English!!  Translations hurt my brain...

I got the HoDA game, it's pretty fun. I've got Epic Fenris, Bethany, Revenant and some Dalish Arcane Warrior that kicking some serious behind. I also had Sten but I consumed him to make Fenris stronger. 

Just make sure not to go too far ahead in the story, go back on the map and refight some older areas for exp and crystals. Also make sure you consume the guys that you don't use and if you have two of the same kind then combine them to make a stronger version. Use Runes if you have any for the tougher fights.

Problem is I would actually like to get a Circle-team, but the few I have are low level and low quality (templar, circle mage), but those who are good/high level are those I actually do not want... *sigh* (revenant, small dragon, red iron mage).

You could replay some maps or do some battles to get more gold, then buy more packs to get better/more mages and than consume the guys you dont want with your new mages. The darkspawn are immediatly nommed to improve the others (unless they are uncommon... although I think I should do that nonetheless). I wonder how far the levels of the characters matter for the difficulty, as it appears to be hard to level up without consuming another high level?

I havent gotten a single drakspawn yet, so I don't know if they improve anything. The leveling up seems like a pain and I guess consuming higher pawns is the easier way out. I stick with one team until I get a character I really want to use and then I have them consume a higher level of the same class or one I don't like to use.

But the part about the horse is cool: so you can't accidently kill your horse/any npc around skyrim-style... yay! (had a bit too many times in skyrim that random npc's turn hostile because they get in my way when I'm swinging my sword....)

I killed almost everyone in Whiterun due to that!

Can you get Cullen in this game? If not, that's more or less a confirm that he's a DAI companion. If lesser NPCs like Ser Cauthrien made the cut, then the only reason not to have Cullen would be because the DAI companions ain't in yet.

Edit: just to clarify, there are characters I more or less expect to be in DAI in HoDA, just no companions. Fiona and Seeker!Leliana come to mind.
