Speaking of which, we should all do some Christmas Cullen related photoshops. I've still got last years ones, lol!

I was tempted to try the 12 Days of Christmas Cullen thing again, and actually finish it this time, but had a hard time thinking of images to photoshop :pinched:

Edit: Nevermind. I got to the next page and saw that I had been ninja'd.

Anyway, about the possibility that DG might have wanted to write Cullen... I hope not! Can you imagine all the angsty crap going on with that? Nooo thank you.

I think he'd be good for Cullen. He wrote Zevran and Morrigan, and they're fantastic characters with good development.

Well, if you remember months ago DG tweeted something along the lines of "Oh, so THAT"S Cullen's last name!"

It may not mean anything but until we have our own copy of DAI in our hot little hands speculating is all we can do.

Btw here is my quick review of the film I just posted: Legolas: awesome. Bilbo: adorable. Thorin: hot and kingly. Thranduil: b!tch please. Tauriel: well she's a girl. Smaug: it's just Benedict Cumberbatch's voice and not his face, so that was great! Overall rating: 10 hot dwarves out of 10. Oh, forgot to add: Gandalf: super awesome.

Yeah, someone should hire me to write reviews and stuff. I clearly rock at this. At 4am.

Haha! Love it! :)

Saw the film over the weekend and enjoyed it. It had little to do with the book but it was fun and I was entertained.

I think I spotted Greg Ellis? Was he the guy who was fixing nets who had one line about why there were dwarves in Laketown or something? It went by pretty quickly, but I was trying - it was like Where's Waldo!

The group I went with also had a fairly extensive discussion about why Kili's head was resting on a pile of nuts when he was making certain... awkward hallucinatory comments. Sexual metaphor? Sly sight gag indicating that he is nuts? Tauriel trolling him? ("Yes, elves always do this, it's an ancient tradition! *snort*") Inquiring minds want to know! ;) It seemed so random.

I think that was him, yes! At least I guessed it was. He was on screen for 0.5 seconds, so I didn't get a look at his face.

Slightly random, and I can't remember if this particular thing has been discussed or not, but...

Maybe I'm just crazy, but does it look like these two 'relics' look like they should fit together? The top image obviously looks like a sort of sword, but the bottom image looks like a scabbard or something like that.

Just completely random speculation and an excuse to post that fab female Qunari again. :wizard:

Dirgegun - I see what you're saying. It does seem to be the same object.

The bottom pic kind of looks like "Here m'lord... we found this awesome 'thing'" and the top looks like "Here Madame Inquisitor, we stole this awesome 'thing' from those guys and give it to you". LOL

BTW, top pic... what's with Mr. Mc NoArms in the background? He's been pincushioned with swords!

Headcanon accepted!

I think it's a really creepy arse statue? Why anyone would make a Mr. McNoArms statue is beyond me, however.

This always sounded to me like one of the writers shared what they'd been writing about Cullen, tho, not that he was talking to himself about his own writing, as it were. That being said, this tweet came out back when we were CONVINCED that Tonia Laird was writing him.

I think Hepler started writing on Cullen, but he might have gone to someone else in the end.

All we know is that Hepler knows Cullen's continuing story, but she said she was on maternity leave and therefore not privy to any future plans about his character. So there's no evidence that she was actually writing him after her stint in DA2.

Aah I didn't know she was on maternity leave that time. Thanks for the info ^_^

Don't forget Alistair, Fenris and SHALE. :wizard:

Those are some of the best characters in the DA universe, IMO. Especially Alistair. Gaider is a skilled writer; he knows what he's doing. If he's writing Cullen, we won't be disappointed, I'm sure.

Haha, then let's pray to the Maker that he's had his fill of fan tears from DAII and ME3. If not... then we better be worried.

Yeah, his face was pretty obscured by a hat and hair and I think beard? And he didn't speak long enough for me to be sure of the voice because the character and accent were so different from what I've heard from Greg Ellis. He was really the only one who could be described as a "net mender," though, so I assume it's him.

Oh, Kili! I learned from that movie that if I'm ever dreaming that my head is resting on a pile of nuts, that should be my cue to stop talking;) I will say no more to avoid spoilers, though.

At risk of you guys calling me crazy, as a fan I enjoy shedding some tears. The path of love does not necessarily have to be smooth.

That said, I also like reasonably happy endings. Not where everything is perfect and fairytale, but where you and your love interest have a chance of being alive and together in the end. I've been fortunate to get that with both previous games (Alistair and Fenris) so if it's more in the same vein, that counts as happy for me.

I am of the mindset that characters have to earn their happiness with sweat, blood, and much shedding of tears, though! :P

@Dirgegun: you know, the design of those two things is rather similar. The excavation one never looked like a scabbard to me, but I can see it. I'd say it looks too pointy, with all those protuberances, but then Meredith's sword had pointy jags all over the grip, like where your hand goes. LOL so logic may tell us little. I can't help but headcanon that Mer's red lyrium sword also had some kinda blood magic thingie going on. That it shed her blood every time she used it. :D

On DG writing Cullen, I honestly think we'd be lucky. He's a great writer and seems to get Cullen (he may not get us! But that's beside the point). Anyone writing Cullen would predict angst in his future. I mean, his issues have got issues.
I also think all the creepy hair brushing talk was a now-dated empty threat. So I think Cullen would be in good hands, if we were to get so lucky.

(Edit: LOL I'd forgotten abt this. Unfortunately, this is closer to how I imagine it going down.
