I promised to update on what I decided to bring as a gift to my work event, so here it is if anyone is interested:
I decided to go with the relaxation/de-stressing theme, so I got a fuzzy red and green blanket, a pair of holiday mugs, a box of hot chocolate, and a pine-scented candle. Thanks to all of you guys who pitched some of those ideas to me!
I also put in... okay, just to preface this, we all have a kind of warped sense of humor.

As I was driving home yesterday, that Santa-related Christmas song came on the radio, "He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!" and couldn't help thinking, "Hey, that is not unlike
our job!" (I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I'm a youth counselor in residental mental healthcare.) Thus, the idea was born.
I got a couple of those Christmas ornaments that you personalize, and cut out pictures of Santa from cheap wrapping paper that made him look angry and dismayed. Then for the backs I printed out "Santa is putting you on 5 minute bed checks!" and "Santa is giving you an Unsuccessful for Behavior Management!"
So in addition to the relaxing evening of hot chocolate items, the box contains those two topical homemade Christmas ornaments. Hopefully my coworkers will enjoy the fruits of my labors.
