All of you guys with amazing characters :crying: Maybe I should play the game more than once or twice a day

Orsino is one of those characters that I run from. Bastard regains his health!!! I hate that guy lol Sexy gray warden mage also makes me run. He's soooo powerful.

I reeeeeeeeeeeally need a better team. My gold guys are so squishy. And I'm tired of my poor gate guardian getting KO'ed before he even gets a chance to fight.

I know. :(  I feel so left out when everybody starts discussing the latest chracter added to HoDA. I have no idea what they're talking about, and the way they describe it makes me want the game so bad.

aww dont feel left out its mearly a game to pass some time when you get bored, also it takes a heck of a long time for the "life" to regenerate so i play it like every hour or 2 to get gold and some new characters, its besically a game of who has a better team :P

LOL I know what you mean. I have the game, but couldn't get past the tutorial with the time I had to invest.  Guess it just didn't hook me. But it makes skimming through the Cullen thread easier! :D

So I just realized something. If potions are limited, but mana is regenerative, we're going to spend a lot of time with Dorian/Elfy Mcsmug or Vivienne (for us non mages). I mean I don't think it's going to be required to keep them around at all times on the lower levels, but I wonder if there is some extra effort going into them.

I think there'll have to be some kind of cap on healing via magic too, otherwise what's the point on making us be careful with our health/poultices if we can just spam the "Heal us, mage!" button?

Well the cool down might be enough of a deterrent. I mean who wants to stand around healing for hours just to get the party to full?

Personally, either way, I'm still kind of on the fence when it comes to the whole non-regenerative health thing.

I think I'll appriciate the challenge now much more than I did when I was younger playing Bulder's Gate. That had me flipping tables when I was a kidlet, especially with how expensive healing potions were.

Saying that, I imagine they'll have a 'story mode' like ME3 does, so people who aren't big gamers/don't want to bother with the management can play through with regenative health or something?

Ooh I'm excited for it! I love survival mode types of games, so having to plan out how many health potions, injury kits, etc I will need before I set off from the stronghold is right up my alley :o I modded Skyrim into a survival game with weather effects and bonuses, it's awesome!

Oh, maybe I should do that with Skyrim! Admittedly all I did in Skyrim was steal from everyone and buy houses with my riches. Also went around using the Wood Elf ability to make mammoths fight giants.

I like those types of games to, it's just I like DA for a totally different reason lol. I dunno, it's just I expect much sitting around sorting out resources in my future.

I think easy will be so easy that only those who are unfamiliar with the game will need it. I'm going to start on normal this time instead of casual.

What difficulty are you going to start on?

I always play on normal, even since I started playing the game... because it never would have occurred to me there was something easier than something called 'normal.' I just had no idea! LOL

For DA:I, if there's a story mode, I'll have to see how the game goes for me. I am a little concerned about non-regenerating health, but then, I always make a point of having a balanced party with a healer anyway. Regardless, I'm not too proud to use story mode if I getted bogged down in some of the strategic stuff I suck at disdain. So, MMG, I may be there with ya! :D

Awesome :D:lol:

In all seriousness, I will likely play the first time on normal; that way the tension of having to actually play the game will add to the tension in the storyline. Subsequent playthroughs will be on easy/casual though, so that I can focus more intensely on the story. Then once I've fully explored the story with many different inquisitors, I'll replay on hard for a challenge. That's what I've done with DA2, anyway.

In other news, I was playing ME2 on casual last night, but was having a heck of a time getting through the waves of husks during Legion's recruitment level. I swear to god I threw my controller down on the ground and screamed, "This is f*#$ing casual!! It's F&#$ING CASUAL!!!"  I think after that I realized I needed to go to bed cause it was like 4am lol

I never see this; when I click the app button it just picks up where I left off, usually at "camp." Occasionally it will say it needs to update, but I usually just click past the opening animation... guess I shouldn't do that?

I got templar recruit Carver. I guess I will hold on to him instead of consuming him. Might have need of an all night faction some day. In the meantime, I'm grinding the "special" node of level 4 (how I got Carver), and wow, that one Fereldan Knight is HAAAAAARD. But my guys keep getting all these 2x damage hits so I racked up 400+ gold once lol

And....... sorry to everyone who can't play :crying: I know exactly how you feel because I only just got this iPad (and it's just a work iPad, not mine, really). I do want to assure you that this is a pure fighting game with NO story or anything remotely having to do with DA:I. It is just to pass the time. It's like having a deck of cards, really. Like playing Magic or something. "Ohh, my card beat your card; I win." lol

Btw, has anyone faced Sandal in battle? S-Scary!! :crying: I don't know what I was thinking. Beat me, even though the rest of the team was silver and gold.
