Yes, I think DAA was def a testing for things in DA2. The combat was more like DA2. And the click on your companions and get a one liner thing was transferred into DA2.
It was kinda a more intimate party. But one of the things that really brought home the feeling of intimacy for me as a party in DAO was the whole campfire thing. For some reason that small thing made me feel closer to them. Like we were all roughing it together.
In DAA, they all kinda just stood abt in these stiff positions in the Keep. It was a lil odd. No movement. Sten liked to pace. And Zev would randomly find something interesting on the ground to pick up.
I loved Sigrun. Sigrun and Nathaniel were my fav companions in that game. I miss Sigrun. She was so funny w/the Feign ability. She would just clunk-clunk in mid battle. At first I didn't know what was going on. Then I remembered I gave her the Feign ability. It was still so funny to see.
I can't imagine what it may have been like to see Zev in DA2, and just happen to have Isabela with you. Damn. Cold blooded.
I thought the story abt the Architect was really interesting. At the end he almost got me w/that smooth talk. But then I remembered wait, you've done horrific things, and are an all around pain in my azz. Cuz of him that whole Mother thing, etc.
And then ofc, Justice, and sum other npc's were like, "Kill it ! Kill it w/Fire!" And that helped bring me back to my senses. So, I did. Good thing I had my special fire resistance ring on me. Whew. My party dropped like flies! It was just me and Archi.....and my magical fire resitance ring.
