If I were to ask them anything, it would be these 4 important questions:LolaLei wrote...
Oooo!
Dragon Age: "Our dev team will be filming some new diaries over the next few weeks about #DAI. Got any questions you'd like them to answer?"
1. Will Cassandra, Varric, and Vivienne be the first companions we get, or will they be given to us gradually over time? (If that makes sense
2. Are dual-wielding warriors coming back?
3. Will Cullen be a companion?
4. Most importantly, will Cullen be romanceable?

1) how do they see fans expectations changing--besides graphics. what is becoming expected for a AAA game?
2) do they see the role of good story telling in video games growing? how important is story in vid games these days, if at all?
3) does new tech cut down on the costs of meeting player expectations? is it helping, or is it still so resource intensive that it's hard to turn a profit?
4) does BW specifically think they've influenced any other games in the importance of npc's in keeping a game from becoming too "lonely" for the PC?; the importance of story; choices?
Or, are these questions supposed to be Twitterized? And abt DAI only?
Uh, okay, lessee:
1)will our PC be able to have a personality?
2) oh, can we have a trophy wall for those particularly delicious wins--like to hang our enemies signature gear on?
3) what kind of day/night cycle are they going to implement?
4) are we gonna camp out on any of these quest (cuz they seem long and far)? if so, will the background imagery reflect the diff locales?
5) are the NPC's gonna be able to move abt? As in not just standing in one place forever and ever, but have like a lil routine they do?
that's all for now

anxiety! lol! that is the feeling. and esp. w/DD..the baddies really come out at night. and it gets truly dark. my god. and the trek to the quests is so long, you know you're gonna caught out there.
but fighting giant glowing golems and bandits and what not w/nothing more than you and your pawns' amazingly well clipped lanterns....the feeling is just so different than a day battle.
I guess I just like the spontaneity of it. i both detest and adore the idea of getting caught out there at night.
choosing the time of day i want takes sum of the fear factor out of it for me.
i guess we are supposed to be tweeting. sigh. i haven't been on twitter in forever. i just got tired of it, and all the world's woes. sometimes it's simply too much information for me.
so, ah well. i'm sure the diaries will be fun, and they'll pick sum fun questions. i'm glad you're out there representing, tho, MMG!

Exciting! The concept art is already beautiful and mysterious, so if the in-game version tops it... wow!

Arlathan ruins confirmed? And if so, why are we going there? I sense a very elfish side story happening. Which is cool.

General consensus is that since Arlathan is all the way in Antiva/Tevinter territory, that it's not THE Arlathan, but still connected to the elves, (and possibly Andraste and Shartan).

I asked if the Keep would take into consideration mods that affected the storyline. For example, my canon Origins playthrough used the "Equal Love" mod which allowed my M!Cousland rogue warden to romance Alistair.
On one hand, I don't see how it can since there are so many game-changing mods out there. But on the other hand, I'm hoping that they had the foresight to address this during the Keep's development.
Guess we'll find out eventually.

What was cool was that my dream even had a scene where Greagoir explained that Cullen had tracked him down regarding the whole red Templar thing and then they started bickering about the situation and Cullen made a mention of the past situation that happened in the circle tower in Ferelden and Kirkwall and showed remorse, but it was done in a way so that the Inquisitor wouldn't know what it is (despite us as the player knowing) so that we could question him about it later on, lol.

I had the coolest dream twice in a row now where the devs release an update with in-game footage of the Inquisitor running into Cullen and Greagoir. Cullen looked super hot both times, except that in the first dream he had Alistair's hair and was a little gaunt, and in the second dream he had weird white mutton chops (LOL!)

Sounds interesting, wish I had dreams as detailed as that, I always forget mine:P
The funny thing about your dream is that I could tottally see this as some sort of quest in DAI...ugh wish they would say something about Cullen if his a companion or not

I've only been having Rachel Bloom related dreams recently. Though I did have one the other night where instead of 'F*** Me Ray Bradbury' it was 'F*** Me Knight-Captain'. Really need that to be an actual video now.
And I think if he is a companion, they will either announce him closer to the release date with another companion to control the reaction of the haters/guys who only want bikini model companions or as the next one so as to save the 'sexy' ones for last when building up proper hype.

I doubt it will. And if it does, it definitely won't let you marry him or anything unless your Warden was a woman. Kinda defeats the whole point of having a nobility really. Plus it's against the lore and crap. And I suppose you can just headcanon they were just better at keeping the whole thing secret than say Alistair and his elven mistress, (literally one of the only actual special shout out a City Elf Warden can get, lucky Amell ****es).

I agree that the Keep probably won't let you create same-sex romances between Alistair and the Warden or Morrigan and the Warden. Of course it's my great hope that it would, but I doubt it (especially if either or both appear in the game, and we know Morrigan does). A lot of the fans would lose their sh!t, not over Morrigan of course but Alistair. God imagine all the uproar regarding "retconning Alistair into being a playsexual sell out" etc. etc.
As for same-sex marriage, it's too bad DA is an older game; I have a feeling if DA:I were it's first game and not it's third that it would have same-sex marriage. It's such a progressive game and company. Actually, you can work same-sex marriage into a royal storyline; not producing an heir could be particularly appealing to those who aren't comfortable with the incoming spouse's bloodline and who have another heir in mind.

They should have lil badges for that, too. Like every year that you're a reasonably active member, you get a lil badge to mark it.
(I'm on a badge kick since I finally registered my DA stuff. lol!)

Anora had sum doubts around her, although that coulda been Cailin's problem.
As a side note w/the Wardens and fertility, I know after the Joining you become damn close to infertile. I was wondering, tho, if newer Wardens have a better chance. Like w/Alistair and the Warden, they were very new--Alistair only 6 months, or so.
Maybe the longer you're w/the Warden taint, the harder it is to reproduce? Doesn't really matter, but the thought just crossed my mind.
