Oh that's brilliant. Hopefully there'll be more than a close up of her face and we get to see just how she's built. Also, I hope her face is still distinctly qunari, and not more humanised like that male qunari we saw, if that makes sense.

Honestly what Skyrim did by releasing all the default premades versions of their races in the run up would be ideal. Just to see the extent of the CC really.

Thoughts? An attempt to make us think we're wrong (that Dorian and Elfy are the same person)? Or honest confusion?

DG, you are my idol and I love you, man, but I find it hard to believe you didn't know where "Dorian" came from. 

But I feel it's possible he wasn't able to make the connection between Dorian and Elfy until someone pointed it out for him.

What does this mean? Are Dorian and Elfy McSmuggins two different characters? Is Elfy in, and Dorian (from the survey leak) discarded? Yes, some of the survey is supposedly "discredited." Except for Cass, Iron Bull, Sera/blonde elf, and Grey Warden guy. They keep trying to convince us it's outdated/discredited, but I don't know. 

Is Dorian perhaps Trident Guy instead?

There's one thing there's no denying: Cullen was pictured in that survey leak. It's him. 

Is it possible Dorian/Trident Guy/whoever is in, Elfy McSmuggins is simply an NPC, and Cullen, who, like Trident Guy, was also on the survey... is in?

Is this the most question marks I've ever put in one post?

The one thing I do worry about, now that they are going back to playable races again, is that the personality of our Inquisitors are gonna be... lacking. I mean, I know Hawke only had 3 personality types to pick from, but he/she felt like a character in his/her own right and was able to hold his/her own with the other companion's personalities.
Don't get me wrong, I love my DA:O Grey Warden character but the Warden was voiceless and obviously not reactive to characters and situations around her/him, whereas Hawke was. I guess I'm just a little concerned since the male human Inquisitor in the demo seemed kinda... "meh", although to be fair he only said one line of dialogue issuing a neutral order to his soldiers and we couldn't see his facial expressions.

I'm sure I'm just worrying over nothing, but I can't help but be concerned that we'll be able to make all these amazing and unique looking protagonists that are fully voiced with different VOs for each race, only for their personalities to be kinda dull/meh. I desperately want to become attached to my Inquisitor.

Also, I hope they'll let us hear what each races and genders VO sounds like in the character creator, because I don't wanna be stuck with a protagonist who's voice makes me wanna punch something, LOL!

Irritating, isn't it! I can never tell if he's trying to throw us off the scent, or if he's being genuine... that being said, all the devs are like that! 

Personally, I've always felt that Dorian was probably trident guy. I also reckon that the bald Elf dude is also the guy from the concept art of the female Inquisitor sitting on the throne, with the bald dude in chains on the ground infront of her. I like the idea that he's some kind of criminal that we can either recruit or put to death due to his blood thirsty nature/whatever it is he done.

FWIW, it reads to me like he doesn't understand why we would think the two are the same, not that he's never heard of Dorian. Methinks we have two different characters.

I think it will be okay. I think, seeing the Inquisitor is voiced, s/he will have a personality to speak of, but as we don't have those personality sets the companions won't react to a specific personality but instead to what that Inquisitor says in that moment. So there'll be no more "You have to stop always doing this... thing, Hawke" for snarky bastards or "Don't mind him, he's always grumpy in the mornings" for aggressive bastards. 

I do think they'll have more personality/be more reactive than the warden and the like, though. It might have been neutral commands, but I did hear personality/proper infliction in his voice when he gave those orders and when he replied to that guy that walked up to him in the keep. His voice wasn't flat or anything and seemed to have a lighter note when talking to the guy in that 'safe' setting verse the slightly constrained tone when talking to the dude in the definitely not safe setting. 

I imagine s/he'll be able to snark with the best of them too. Even the Warden could get damn snarky, and that was without a voice and without a wide array of facial expressions.

Yes, yes, and yes!  She kindly took requests from her followers for a devart milestone. I had just hoped to see some Cullen, but she invited me to share my Hawke. :happydance: So sweet, and such a lot of effort. :morehappydance:

 Are you... are you in my head???  Surely you heard me complain/worry about the same thing?! Cause yeah that's my fear. And y'all know when I'm worried about something I complain about it long enough and often enough 

I'm still really, really, really concerned, but Dirgegun's suggestion of how it could be is a little comforting.

Yes. Closer to the release. Update the official site - Locations, Companions, Monsters, Enemies and other. Like DAII.

Weekes was one of the writers from ME right? If so Im not familiar with his work cause I never played the game, but if he did good romaces in ME  then I would be happy for whatever character he will write the romance  in DAI

Well even if they dont show any new companions I'm still excited to see  the fem qunari inq, altho I will stalk the website closer to release to see who the companions are lol:P

The wiki says he wrote Tali, Jack, Kasumi, and Mordin. I do love Tali. Jack's dialogue gets a little immature at times though (imo of course). Mordin, I don't know WHAT'S up with his way of talking, but that's a pet peeve. I think his arc is nice, but still, I don't understand why he talks the way he does. (When I first played ME3 I seriously thought all salarians talked that way.) Kasumi is DLC so I don't know her.

IMO none of the character dialogue in ME compares to DA. It's just so much better... so easy. It doesn't sound like dialogue; it sounds like conversation. ME dialogue is fine, but the great voice actors are what really brought it to the next level.

Tbh I'm a little miffed DG is not writing the next DA novel. Why is PW doing it? It makes me nervous. Are they kind of slowly shuffling DG out? I don't think I'll be able to read that novel.
