Man, there's so much stuff I want to comment on, but I'm too lazy to quote.
Anyway, on Snarky Hawke: It really depends on how you played Hawke, of course, but I don't think a Snarky Hawke was insincere or unmindful by default. I think he just hid most of HIS pain with humour, and so tried to do the same with others'. I remember in my first play through I didn't have enough Aveline friendship points to unlock her discussion about her parents, so my when she tried to talk to my Hawke about his mother he deflected with humour and said he was fine instead... and she called him on it, and in that moment you saw the mask waver. Maybe I'm biased, though, because I really do love humour and snark as a coping mechanism in characters, even if it's sometimes in poor tastes.
On the rivalry system: The Rivalry system definitely could have been better. It was described as 'being friends with someone but disagreeing', but in practice it really did involve just a lot of hate. That said, my Hawke on my last 'get everything ready for DA:I' playthrough had 100% rivalry with Fenris while being a total sweetie to him. The perils of being a mage who helps other mages, I suppose.
That said, my Hawke was always about compromise. Which made it even more fun when Anders did the thing. >.>
Edit: Pretend I did the s/he thing when referring to Hawke! I'm just used to referring to him as a he because my canon Hawke ended up being a he. orz

Has anyone gone back and rectified 'mistakes' in DAII for DA:I based on tweets and the like? Or will you when we are able to re-make world states within the Keep? Just out of curiosity!
I know there's been a teasing tweet about the mirror, which my Hawke didn't get Merrill to destory, and all I can say to that is:

I'm lookin' forward to it. Bring on the demonic mirror shenanigans.

Nope! I don't allow my characters do-overs. If they messed stuff up, Thedas has to deal with the consequences.Dirgegun wrote...

As I mentioned up-thread, my Hawke handled the Keran situation horribly, and I was tempted to go rectify that one for her (via saved games, but same idea) but I couldn't bring myself to do it. That character would have made that mistake in that situation, so it is what it is.

One thing I've been wondering... the developers have hinted that we might be meeting our Hawkes and Wardens. How would that work if save files didn't transfer? Would the Keep include things like previous characters' physical appearances, too?

I was wondering about that, too. But I thought it had been stated somewhere, by someone, in a rather confirmational way, that the Keep would not include a CC for your Hawke and Warden.

I said I wouldn't change anything, but I'm actually rethinking that. My Warden wasn't able to do Velanna's or Sigrun's personal quests because they were bugged, but she would have if they'd been available. I'd like to be able to flag them as completed in the Keep because that was a technical issue and not an in-character decision.

I'm planning to use the Keep to preserve my original (and personal canon) playthroughs. I don't plan on changing anything. Even times my characters messed up.

Having a character mess up is always more interesting. That's why in Origins, my personal canon has Isolde sacrificed, Zathrian still alive and Harrowmont as King. Also, Petrice started her schism, Merrill kept the Eluvian, Sebastian is off to rally the Starkhaven troops and I enacted my poetic justice on Anders and made him help me side with the Templars.

Can we customize the Armour of the Inquisition? Or is that a decided by someone higher up than the Inquisitor himself? #DAI
Mark Darrah @BioMarkDarrah
there will be customization of this, yes

@Mike_Laidlaw You probably can't answer this but here goes. Can you tell me when the #Dragonagekeep will be open for testing?

EDIT Actually, he turned out to be a carpenter/interior designer.
As for the Keep, I'll be preserving as well as changing PTs. There are some choices I wanted to make for certain characters, and never did because I'M TOO NICE. I also want to change a romance in one PT - my first mage was never mean to romance anyone, then Zev had to go and open his big mouth. XD

Uh-oh. I didn't get her to destroy it either. Hm, I'll leave it in tact out of interest, but if it ends up killing her or one of the other companions/awesome npcs then I'll go back and change it in the Keep in subsequent playthroughs.

If they do then it means my Warden and first Inquisitor are gonna end up looking identitical, LOL!

Hey, unrelated but exciting news on the second episode of the Wolf Among Us front. Apparently, the Australian Classification peoples have rated the second episode. Also, Steam has apparently been doing stuff which apparently hints at Smoke And Mirrors being released soon. But I don't understand all that technobabble but it's here for those who might!

It's looking like save files won't transfer anyway, so that's why I'm not bothering to replay. Plus I hope to play the game on the Xbox One but don't ask me where the money is coming for that, sigh. Maybe birthday + Christmas??
I hear ya! Hell knows how I'm gonna find the money to buy an Xbox One or PS4 to play it on... hopefully the price will have dropped slightly nearer Fall.
I guess I could easily run it on my PC, but it's not the most comfortable place to play it solidly for a week!

But if I do that then I'll need to find the money not just for the Special Edition of the game, but a next gen console AND a compatitible capture card so that I can record bits and pieces of it for my channel and subsequent DAI related videos... and possibly a bigger TV, LOL!

But it's suppose to be available for XBOX 360 as well. I'm keeping my fingies crossed that the graphics and such will be just as nice

So, hypothetically maybe us not getting Merrill to smash the Eluvian could result in something like news that the city of Kirkwall has been directly attacked from the inside as the demons flood through the mirror, thus causing heavy casualties and deaths as the cities inhabitants had been busy guarding the place from the outside? Or, if you allowed the demon to possess Connor in DA:O then by DA:I Connor has come of age and the demon has decided to take control again, seizing the opportunity as the veil ripped. By the time our Inquisitor reaches Redcliffe Arl Eamon has probably been long dead and demon!Connor is running amock, locking his Uncle Teagan and mother up in the castle dungeons and torching/killing/possessing the people of Redcliffe village.
I'm not sure stuff like a posssessed Connor situation would cause such big reactivity, but how cool would it be for the Inquisitor to arrive in Redcliffe (which it seems likely that we'll visit) start running around the village taking in the surroundings etc only to get the feeling that something isn't right, sure the villagers are there but they're behaving strangely (kinda similar to Village of Haven in DA:O/Harimann estate in DA2 but on a grander/weirder scale), we start doing some investigating and discover that something dodgy is going on, we decide to head to the Castle and as we go to leave the villagers all start going psycho bonkers attacking us. We finally make it to the castle and the place is seriously messed up, there's a veil rip right inside the building and parts of the Fade have leaked into the castle itself, making the castle environment shift and change like something out of a Salvador Dali painting *maybe insert a few scenes where we lose our companions and track them down only to find the poor things are trapped in their own personal nightmare or whatever*. Eventually we encounter Demon!Connor who we have to defeat. This time there's no extracting the demon, he's become an abomination and we have to kill him and shut the veil tear. *Insert mini-boss fight and dramatic reprocussions "who are these people, Tegaaaaaaan?!"*
Hell, maybe regardless of how our Warden chose to deal with Connor in DA:O perhaps when the Inquisitor reaches Redcliffe it's always totally ****ed up (due to the veil tear within the castle) but upon reaching the castle (depending on the choice you made in DA:O) it's either a demon!Connor that's behind the Redcliffe situation, or he's locked up in the dungeons with his Mother and/or Uncle (if you freed him and killed the demon), or dead (if you killed him). If you chose the latter 2 then the demon running amock is just some random one that came through the veil rip and took over.

I would not count on that. There's a huge difference between the console generations and what they can perform. The games I have seen so far that are cross generation have all chosen to go with 'lesser' graphics on last gen and max new gen. Another way would be to cut other type of content and I don't think BW will go that way, but can't say for sure. The new consoles almost match PC performance so it makes more sense to max out 3 platforms and let the old run the game by taking the easy way by not running max graphics. I also believe that in one of the last interviews with Cameron Lee he said something that hinted this could be the case.VampOrchid wrote...

Edit: Did not find the qoute I was thinking of but found this:
http://www.vg247.com...t-gen-editions/
Anyway. I still think the game will be super awesome whatever you will play it on. The engine is new and awesome.
