Apparently they're actually filming the dev diaries this week. I wonder how long it'll take for them to edit and release them?

Waaay too late however. They sell the game at full price (which is logical of course) and then release the first episode. A few months later it's on a sale even before episode two came out. I love their latest games, don't get my wrong, but as a company they really should know better then to pull these stunts.

Wow, I enjoyed that. I loved the correlation between the need for the lyrium, and a sexual need. And the experience you described of what it's like being on Red lyrium was extremely vivid, and believable.

I don;t wanna say too much else cuz I don't want to spoil it for others, but well done.

And it truly makes me want to destroy the Chantry that they did this to them.

I'm really intrigued by the red lyrium and the ways in which it would be different from the regular, particularly since we know it'll show up again... probably with those freaky deaky Red Templars who seem to be wearing it around their  necks.

Speaking of red lyrium, I wonder if we'll run into any Bartrand-esque situations.

I mean, that crazy dwarf was apparently force feeding his servants red lyrium and mutilated some of them too.
It'd be real creepy to run into an entire village filled with red templars/red whatevers doing the same thing.

That was awesome, it gave me goose bumps and the audio clips worked really well with what we know about the plot set up to DAI.

Quick question: the clip of audio Morrigan talking about change, what that from DA:O? Because I don't recall ever hearing her say that, then again, it's been a while since I played it properly.

It seems that the quotes from both Morrigan and Flemeth were hinting at the whole veil rip/DAI story, even as far back as DA:O:

Morrigan DA:O: "Change is coming to the world. Some fear change and will fight it with every fibre of their being. But sometimes, change is what they need most. Sometimes, change is what sets them free."

Flemeth DA2: "Without an end, there can be no peace. It gets no easier. Your struggles have only just begun..." and "We stand upon the precipice of change. The world fears the inevitable plummet in the abyss. Watch for that moment... and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap."

Obviously we now know that they've had the storyline for DAI in the works ever since DA:O was in the making, so I guess they've been hinting at it from the beginning. It's funny, until recently I always thought Flemeth's little speech was aimed at Hawke as a hint of what he/she should expect during the game, but looking at it now I think it was aimed directly at the player as a hint that sh!t is going to hit the fan in the next game. By the looks of it Morrigan's little speech was also a hint of things to come in DAI (and/or beyond).

Omg, the other character threads in here are pretty much dead. No one has posted in the Anders thread for 10 days, and the Fenris thread has been silent for 26 days. We're literally the only active thread left in these parts, LOL!

Does anyone else feel like we're Darkspawn scuttling around the abandoned Deep Roads, whilst everyone else is topside? Lmao.

Yeah, I was thinking about this, too. Trying to  imagine how Bartrand's sort of raw lyrium is probably a little different from the refined lyrium that a templar might choke down. After all, touching the (blue) lyrium in the Deep Roads is supposed to drive you insane as well, whereas we mages are slamming lyrium pots like there's no tomorrow. So I was imagining that there must be some refining process that makes it less toxic, which means a red lyrium potion probably would have different side effects than what we saw in Bartrand's quest in-game.
