Actually, truth be told I'm kinda worried about all of them to an extent, except Varric cos we know he's a companion again.

I mean, Aveline is probably fine since she had her head screwed on, she was tough as nails and she's got Donnic with her who, although not as skilled as Aveline, can still hold his own and is decent enough with a sword. Out of the love interests Isabela is probably safest since she's a wiley one. Anders, Fenris and Merrill on the other hand, they could be in all sorts of trouble!

But with this veil rip, even our DA:O companions could be in deep ****.

I will freaking fly to Canada or wherever and heads will roll if my baby is hurt or dead in DA:I. (Caveat: I will not actually do any of that; I am a very peaceful person :P). No seriously, I will cry, bawl even. I would be pretty heartbroken if something happened to Anders, too, and the only reason I'm not too worried about it is b/c since Anders can be killed, I suspect he will not feature much (if at all) in DA:I; hence he'll be safe to live his happy head canon life.

Now Merrill, she is the Zevran of DA2 basically. (I guess Fenris, too, possibly.) The LI that didn't matter and so probably won't ever be mentioned again.

Isabela is the darling of her writers, so chances are she's not only doing swimmingly but will appear in DA:I at some point. (Do note that Isabela is my 2nd favorite DA character, so no hatin' goin' on here.)

To be honest, I'm really dreading the cameos; they were so bad in DA2, and it sucked how the Warden was separated from the LI. (Even if Zevran's dialogue had been fixed, it's still annoying that they're not together, since my Warden promised Zev they would travel together. And poor Leliana fans; what a freaking blow that must be to those who romanced her.)

I'm not gonna be a happy kitty if Fenris shows up solo in DA:I for some pointless cameo.

MMG: Y'know, I'm not even sure what the deal is with the Leliana thing. Did she break up with the Warden for sure? Or just doesn't know where he/she is and presumes he/she is dead? I can never tell with her, she's a tricksy one. Hell, she may even know where the Warden is but is keeping quiet about it for whatever reason. That or she just didn't wanna divulge her personal life to strangers, LOL!

ROFL That is true, about not wanting to chat about your love life to strangers. But you know, if they intended Leliana (and Morrigan) to be major characters in future games, they shouldn't have made them into LIs. You have to retcon your own canon or else just leave everything shrouded in darkness, such as the Warden being "lost" and the player not knowing if his/her lover has the faintest idea as to where s/he is.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I realize a big part of the reason why I'm not a huge DA:O fan (and why I get so grumpy when people sing it's praises to the end of kingdom come) has to do with the crappy Zevran romance. No, not the romance itself, but how the after effects were handled. I'm given the option to tell my dear Zev that I will throw all my obligations away and travel with him; this is retconned in DA:A when for some inexplicable reason I've gone back on my promise and am the head of the stupid Wardens or whatever. Then supposedly Zev sends me a letter, but the stupid game glitches, so I never get it and never know about it until after I've played the game. Then DA2 comes and Zev's romance glitches yet again.

If that sh!t happens with Hawke and Fenris I will... I will... be very very upset, to say the least lol

Tbh, I'm not even sure Leliana can be trusted. Don't get me wrong, I like her... BUT she is a bard, and she's very good at playing "the game". I don't think she's a bad guy, but I do wonder if she has an agenda (be it under the orders of the Divine or for her own purposes), she does seem to have her fingers in all the pies after all.

Perhaps she's the eyes and ears of the Divine, reporting back her findings, or maybe she's not a good little sister of the cloth at all. I actually think I kinda like the latter!

What is the letter supposed to say? Also, thank **** for the DA Keep! Providing that thing works we won't have to worry about glitched romance and plot flags!

I wonder if it can be used for DA:O DLCs and DA2? Like, maybe we can create saves for those too, instead of importing our glitchy saves into the previous games/DLC?

I do find DA2 and onward version of Leliana to be super intriguing, and I like how intelligent and powerful she is. Even if she is dedicated 100% to the Divine, I don't think she's a goody goody sister of the cloth by any means. I mean she's the Left Hand of the Divine, which I think basically sounds like she's some kind of badass divine assassin lol

Oh man, screw imports, I'm using the Keep and only the Keep!! Yeah hopefully it can be used for everything, even DLCs.

Zev's letter is precious lol http://dragonage.wik...ter_From_Zevran

D'awww, bless him! I missed that kinda of romance the DA:O LIs brought to the mix when it came to DA2. I would've loved to be able to interact with the DA2 LIs the way we could with the DA:O ones. Here's hoping DAI can remedy this. I wanna ask ALL the things, I wanna give and receive gifts, I wanna be able to hang out with them outside kinda like the dates in ME3, and I wanna be able to kiss them whenever I want, LOL.

I loved how into the Warden the choosen LIs were, in DA2 they said they were into Hawke, but there was never enough interaction to really feel it in full force.

You could only go to bed with Zevran at camp; you couldn't kiss him anytime during the game, like you could with Alistair and Morrigan. Just another knife twisted into the back of Zev fans. Thanks, guys!

I agree with you about the lack of interaction and talking about the LI's past when it comes to Anders; that romance is so lacking I found after romancing Fenris. But Fenris is really quite different; you can ask and learn a lot about his past (ironic since he has amnesia... lol) and he has multiple cut scenes AND quests in ALL 3 acts.

What I missed the most were the mundane little conversations about absolute crap, like when you could have a conversation with Leliana about Orlesian fashion, gossip about the other companions with Alistair, pester Sten about whatever, ask for stories from Wynne, etc. they were all pretty pointless, but it made the companions feel real and brought a sense of fleeting normality to the group, thus making the Blight feel more poignant when you did have to get back out there and carry on with the killing, blood and guts.

That is true; my favorite was pestering Alistair about the Grey Wardens :D "Such as they are." He always sounds so serious when he said that, like a different person lol

Charlotte! :D Welcome back! Hey...  how did you manage to change your username? I've wanted to change mine for a long, long time. (Although at this point I guess I am stuck as moto or MMG even though that still seems weird after being "Artemis" or "Arte" for most of my online life haha)

Unfortunately, I had to completely delete my old account and remake it. There's no easy way. :(

Oh gawd, I just had a thought. (MMG, you may not wanna read this one!)

Now, I've absolutely never done this (because I'm not a cruel), but what if the decision to give Fenris back to Danarius in DA2 results in a cameo of Fenris as a slave if we happen to visit Tervinter, or if Danarius happens to be in the area at the same time as our Inquisitor is.

I just have this horrible scene playing out in my head of our Inquisitor 'n' co entering a city and a cutscene triggering as we encounter Danarius. We have a brief conversation with him and perhaps not even realise it's even him at first (due to the new engine and characters upgraded appearance) he makes mention of his slave, and from behind him you see Fenris in the background coming into focus looking weary like that of a broken man. The camera focuses back in on Danarius and the Inquisitor asks some questions about who that strange elf is with the weird tattoos (perhaps we get the option to mention that we'd heard that the Champion of Kirkwall once kept the company of someone going by that description) *Que Fenris approaching and entering stage left*  completely brainwashed again after having his memory wiped, he is a shadow of his former broody self, very submissive and sad. And perhaps, if we have Varric in the party with us at the time Fenris looks at him as if he recognises him but can't quite place the face and Varric's all like "Fenris!" And he's just like "you... you seem familiar, do I know you?" And then Danarius makes some smug comment about his "little wolf" and references Hawke handing him over etc.

On the one hand that would be awful and I'd totally never want to experience that in my game (although I would watch the scene on YouTube. For science.) But on the other hand this sort of thing would make for a fantastic scene/cameo that really takes into account the weight of our previous actions and decisions in DA2/DA:O and kick us right in the feels. And to be honest, this is the sort of outcome to our previous choices I'm expecting to see in the DAI. I didn't romance Fenris in my game, but I must admit I've been worried about him ever since DG mentioned that he may find it difficult to control the lyrium corsing through his veins over time since it was Danarius that would keep that sort of thing in check originally. A Hawke romancing him could probably help keep him level headed... but a single Fenris?... I don't even know.

... I think I'm gonna keep that Dorian bloke in the party with me at all times during my first playthrough, just in case I encounter Fenris and he needs help. An experienced Tervinter magister like him would surely be able to do something to help him.

Totally late, but dat laugh. I like it.

Man, I'm expecting DA:I to have all the feels, and I'm going to love every agonising moment. So long as it also has moments of levity. I love ME3 but the game does make me feel emotionally drained.

And all that talk about Mr. Weekes' character... Yesssssss.

It's definitely from Cullen's sound files, they're in with the rest of his dialogue. Anders sound files are separate, as are each of the companions/characters dialogue.

Yussssss, totally going to watch it. ^_^

I was wondering, (since I'm a console peasant who has never used mods before and doesn't understand them) is it possible to use the Cullen head swap on both Hawke and a companion at the same time? Y'know, for science? ... and kinky romance scenes... lmao.

Of course. Ahem

They're also from DA:O, not DA:A. I think the DLC files aren't hackable.

Ah, and I'd mentioned it earlier, but here are vieralynn's files on Cullen's unused DA:O dialogue, so you can see the text of all his emotes (and the audio from that lovely virgin line again! LOL).

Yes, I expect DAI to hit hard on the feels. I just hope they don't go overboard with it. I don't think I can take anymore of that type of thing.

There was a point in 2012 when it seemed every game I played was dour and bleak and my PC was getting killed off. I was just like, ooookaaay. Time to step away from the games cuz I've had enuf of this.

Maybe that's one of the reasons I love Assassin's Creed 4. I love that game w/a passion. And I adore Edward Kenway, the PC. The game does have this bittersweet tinge to it, and there were times towards the end where I def cried. Yes, I did. But overall it was....fun, and ended w/ sum hope.

Even when the credits were rolling, this one NPC asked Edward, "Do you think we'll see a whale?" and he says that he thinks that's high probable. A moment later this giant! whale leaps outta the water and splashes back down next to the ship. I wiggled my toes and giggled. It was beautiful.

Also, yes I loved gossiping w/Leli abt fashions and all. It was great in the midst of War! to be able to take sum moments and muse over lovely lil shoes and fancy hats w/live birds in them. Lmao!

I cringe a lil everytime I log in to the BSN and see the top thread in DAI forum as the, "What is Your solution to mage/templar war". Just cuz that means there's no news, or anything else to talk abt.
