@PatrickWeekes: Person I'm writing and person @SherylChee is writing get along like a house on fire, though, so it's all good.
Iron Bull's anti-mage to Vivienne? Varric's jealous of the Iron Bull stealing his reputation of the class clown? Clues to Sheryl's character? Why are we not speculating people?! (Unless we have an I'm just an idiot)

Worked on banter between someone I'm writing and someone @BioMaryKirby is writing. They are... not friendly.

Oooh!
Well, even if Iron Bull is a Tal-Vashoth, I imagine he still might have the Qun's views on mages. So I could definitely see him and Vivienne not seeing eye to eye if that's the case. At the same time, he seems like a guy who could possibly shrug his shoulders at the death of innocence, and we already know Varric ain't cool with that if it can be prevented.
That's if Patrick is referring to Iron Bull there. We don't know who he's writing for sure (other than an elf he mentioned), after all, but it seems a pretty good guess considering all his mentions of Qunari and his avatar.
And I really want to speculate that Sheryl Chee might be writing Beardy Grey Warden, and I could see him and Iron Bull getting along. (Simply judging by what we've seen of Beardy in concept art.)

Did he confirm he's writing an elf? Cool! Then if it is Elfy McSmugness, and he is Dorian, Vivienne and Dorian will not get along. Vivienne's probably too pro-Circle and he's Tevinter. God, even being a nice Tevinter, he is going to have such as hard time with Cassandra, Cullen...

If that elf is Dorian, though, I can definitely see that guy not having too many friends. He seems chill enough to not give a damn, though. At least according to the blurb in the survey.

Oooh Chanda! News for you! Well sort of news, not really news at all actually, but still. I was playing Crusader Kings II the other day, and I wasn't really feeling properly serious so I splintered my saves off and started naming my Empress' children after Cullen thread peoples, or just representatives if I thought your names were too weird. I had Lola, (self-explanatory), Leia, (that's you R2), Kurt, (obvious), Aggie, (ag99).... The list goes on, my Empress is lustful so has many children. Anyway, one of my daughters turned out to be a dwarf so I'm like, CHANDA'S AVATAR'S A DWARF! So I name her Chanda. About twenty years later I start handing out titles to my children and I made Chanda Queen of France. Just two months later, she starts rebelling against me, takes my title and leaves as the bloody Duchess of Essex. And I'm fuming of course after I was so nice to all my children, so just laughed and watched as Empress Chanda I's empire just crumbled from losing independence wars.
Then of course I died and had to play as her....
I just saw your post (I've been busy with school and work and babies!) Just wanted to say thank you for naming one of your game children after me, even if she did rebel against you!

He's contradicting himself though. Mabari are not "very smart dogs." They are FREAKISHLY SUPER smart. You talk to them in complete sentences and they understand you perfectly.
That's underestimating.
I do imagine dragons (not the band) are on the same line of intelligence...
omg
I just thought of something.
Fenris did say Mabari are a Tevinter breed...and Tevinters were using dragon blood and they worshipped dragons, right? I wonder if...the Tevinters did something with blood magic - dragon blood - to make a more powerful dog? It's a bit of a stretch but...it kinda made my brain explode.

Perhaps dragons are just as smart (or Mabari as smart as dragons, if that dragon blood thing is true), but their very strong animal instincts make them different from the so-called wise type dragons in other games/things.
I also wonder if shapeshifting will come back. Thus far, only ever see Flemeth as a dragon. They can easily do other things besides "dragons are monsters" if you put a person or a god behind the image.

Haha no problem, completely forgot I had until I saw your post. And I forgive in game you too, sort of have to now that I'm playing as her. I was surprised too since you were like my fifth child, but apparently Leia 'died in a suspicious accident', Kurt died in the Crusades, Danny's the Pope, and Lola died of syphilis.

You know, I was bored for some reason, and was looking up the quotes that Sandal says about the sky splitting and the one where Flemeth talks about the leap and then Morrigans new quote.
Anyways, just speculating here.
"One day the magic will come back - all of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part and the skies will open wide. When he rises, everyone will see."
So obviously, there's a tear in the veil. We saw one in the sky. There's that part. The magic will come back, all of it. That leads me to think that mages will have either more powers. That maybe Tervinter will be on the attack. Or that all of the demons and spirits are really suppose to be part of Thedas...hmmm.
But then there's the he will rise part. The Maker? Maybe he's not who we've been told he is?
So this 'prophecy' really matches up with Flemeth's speech and Morrigans. I know this has been debated before, but it's bugging the crap out of me lol.
Maybe Templars get some sort of 'magical' abilities because maybe everyone's suppose to have it. And aren't the Dragons suppose to be some form of Old Gods?
Everyone tends to think that that the "he" in Sandal's prophecy relates to some big omnipotent entity (be it a bad guy or the Maker). But if you think about it, magiccoming back, shadows parting and skies opening wide are all not necessarily bad things (they just sound quite terrifying taken together!). A wild theory, but but the "he" in the prophecy could refer to the Inquisitor?
I'm probably wrong, but it's quite fun to speculate nonetheless.

Huh, that would be a twist if the Maker isn't what the Chantry made him out to be. If he is maybe a demon and Andraste waged a war in his name against Tevinter. Maybe Tevinter wasn't the baddie after all, but the Chantry has the majority of Ferelden "brainwashed" with the Andrastian Faith. The Maker could be a Pride Demon, a really powerful one ... when I read his description that he turned his back on humanity until his favor has been regained, that could fit.
I'm also still wondering about the backstory about our Inquisitor, I mean we all will end up somewhere where there is that huge magical explosion that forms the/ a tear in the veil, no matter what race. For a while I thought maybe we would play a Grey Warden, since they recruit everyone no matter the race or if your a mage; but I think we kinda played the GW role in Origins. Maybe we go to this supposed peace talk with our race to talk with the enemy race that we have quarrel with ... humans with elfs, qunari with everyone (lol) but dwarfs? I'm not sure who the dwarfs have a problem with, seeing as they keep to themselves pretty much.
I hope this made sense, it does perfectly make sense in my head, heh

You could be onto something there. Hell, the "he" could be refering to the Inquisition itself, kinda like how cars and ships are refered to as "she". *Shrugs*

Well, the way I see it, I'm not too sure which one I believe. On one hand, it makes sense that some powerful entity rising would "open the eyes" of the people of Thedas. I can't imagine a single person, or an entire army for that matter, could accomplish the same thing. On the other hand, it makes sense for the Inquisitor to be alluded to sometime during DAII. And I like the idea of the Inquisitor being super important in DAI.
I dunno. Speculating is fun, but I'm not particularly good at it.

I'm not sure that would really fit, as it's been confirmed we'll be playing a Tal-Vashoth if we pick Qunari and it's been hinted the dwarf might be a surface dwarf (unless we can pick where our dwarf comes from?) ((Surface dwarf makes sense, though, because that would mean s/he's above ground to see the tear.))
*scratches chin thoughtfully*
I have to admit, the very first thought I had was that we'd just be playing someone that just happens to be living in a village/travelling through a village when the tear opens up on our heads and everything goes to hell.

I can't help but feel like Bioware would have been a little more careful with their wording if it was referring to the Inquisitor, though. Perhaps wording it in a way that 'he' wasn't needed at all, even if that meant settling for 'they'...

That was my inital thought too. Perhaps it'll depend on the race? For example, if we're a city elf or human then we live there, but if we're a Qunari then we were just passing through or something?
