I think the question meant the Inquisitor's backstories, but who cares! I'm all for follower backstories! I loved the short stories that were released for the DA2 companions.

Yup same here. I was so excited when DAO came out. And they would slowly release a little animated gif of a character and a bit of their background. For Ex. Alistair, the gif was just a little animated him swinging his sword around. Beside that was a little blurb about him. Nothing big. Then there was a list of his starting stats, some screen shots and a little video introducing him.

So when you played the game, you had no idea that he was Kailan's bro and all that. It was great. Hope they plan on going that rout again

They done a bunch of little YouTube videos about each character too, introducing each of them in a mini-trailer style.

Oh nice!! Altho I doubt they will show something on Vday as DG mentioned before in a post (I think) that might not happen depending on what the marketing team wants or something like that

I hope we get something like that for Valentine's Day. Then at least we'd have some idea of who we can share romances with.

And if a particular Knight Captain isn't shown, maybe it's because he's one of the surprises?

Yeah it use to be awesome. All companions had their own little page, accept Shale. Even some of the Darkspawn and the Archdemon did.

Hmmm....so there was Alistair, Morrigan, Sten, Zev, Oghren, Wynne, Leliana, Dog and then they had a few of the Darkspawn and the Archdemon.

Then you were able to click on a Warden's Origin story and you got a little teaser trailer for each Origin. That's how I knew I wanted to play as a mage my first go. Thus landing me with Alistair as king my first play through and me all wth just happened lol


Edit : So yeah, I was plenty surprised when all was said and done lol

 Oh believe me, I know. I was totally unaware of the movie when I created this username, which is actually a combination of two anime characters: Mouri Motonari and Chousokabe Motochika; the pairing is referred to as "MotoMoto" by fans. I was making my tumblr page and was in a super silly fangirl mood, so I made my tumblr "motomotogirl."

Then I got my XBL account, and I am usually some form of Artemis Moonsong online, but I thought, that doesn't sound very intimidating in a Halo fight (I was still a FPS gamer at the time). So I thought motomotogirl sounded kinda punky and cool.

And now I'm stuck with that dumb XBL name (and BSN name) LOL

When I read that, my immediate thought was that they just finished recording a bunch of dev diaries for upcoming promotionals, and I actually said "Sweeeeeeet!" aloud at work. Fortunately, I've got an office now instead of a cubicle, so it didn't look like some kind of bizarre gopher farm, but the people in the corridor now think I'm insane.

And then I thought about it for a moment and realized that you were talking about DAO, not DAI, but it wasn't much of a letdown. Whatever they show us in the diaries will be cool, even if it's too soon to learn who the companions are.

Seriously, those upcoming dev diaries are the only thing keeping me sane at this point. I'm desperate for news.
