 I love how I've been here long enough I can just roll my eyes and mutter "Oh, BSN" and feel like I need a walker. 

Around a little before Origins and ME2 were released (Lurked a whole lot before making an account and on the other website before here was made), was here for the entire DA2 development, ME3 as well.

Just indications of a lack of intelligence or at best a lack of willingness to understand. I thought my response was pretty reasoned. If your counterargument looks like it was penned by an 8 year old, it doesn't say much for your side of the argument.

Hopefully those of us who responded like mature adults were able to answer the OP's question.

I dont think that the OP was *actually* intrested in the charatcer I think he/she just made a thread so it can heat the spirits up for the lack of info, so that it can give ppl something to argue about (obviously whenever  it comes down to Cullen its always a  "good" way to releave some anger/hate issues)

Yeah when I read the first post I thought this might be the case, too. But he responded throughout the thread, and it seems clear that he likes Cullen and wants to see him be a companion. He just wanted others' opinions.

The rabble-rouser in the thread is trying to say that Cullen was afraid of Hawke. Okay, that's laughable  BUT the good part is that someone replied and pointed out something that I had never thought of before: That Cullen takes Willem (is that his name?) out into the wilderness ALONE, knowing he is probably possessed, and confronts him.

The boy's got himself a pair, I'll give him that! xD

Sure, I like Alistair, I like Merril, I like Leliana, I like Varic etc, but they have a lot of character development, Cullen is just another boring NPC without any devlopment at al (in DAO he's just a random Templar who shi.... his pants, and in DA2 he's just another random Templar and Meredith's dog, whoaoo what a great character), he absolutely not deserves all those pages here.

It's like someone says "hey Thrask is so awesome let's make 3000 pages about him here, hey I want Thrask as a LI in DA3" or "hey the Mabari Master in Ostagar is so awesome, yop 3000 pages and need him as a companion  in DA2". Well Cullen it's exactly the same thing.

When I see this thread I want to laugh, when I see things like that I always think "this is why BSN is so wrong, people on this forum are so crazy" :happy:

Ok 1st off if u even bothered to ACTUALLY look through this thread its not ALL about Cullen most of us here  developed  som frendships along the time and talk about pretty much anything. Are there any  posts that are fangirly? sure but once again that is not all we talk about.

2nd  what makes this thread  "funnier" then all the other character threads?
 
also what does it matter to YOU how many pages doesn an Npc has?   Sht didnt know it was so crazy to come here and talk about pretty much everything and share opinions without some numbskuls trolling you or bashing your head in that  "your oppinion on the matter is  wrong and only I am right"  (such in the DAI forum) this place  is a "safe heaven" for us fans and  dont have to worry about ppl  who feel bored about  lack of info and decide to come in a thread like this and sturr things up if you want info on  a character there is thins thing  called GOOGLE  or  you can  make ur on conclusions on him based on playing the game yourself if you like him fine if you dont u dont, no one cares. Im getting pretty fking  sick of us having to explain ourselfs why we like something or some one

It's because we're intelligent people who talk about Cullen, and other things related to DA. And things not related to DA. It's because we're more than just a fan thread, we're friends. And we like having our own little spot on the forums where we can be chatty with each other. That's why there's over 3000 pages.

I'm thinking maybe this thread should put together a "Cullen FAQ" blog, similar to the one for Anders in my sig.

It can cover all the basic questions that are constantly asked about him (and about his crazy, rabid fangirls, apparently) and it can be a quick and easy link to post when a thread/question pops up about him. Better than being intimidated by a nearly 3000+ thread.

Just food for thought. /shrugs.

That's not a bad idea. Of cousre it would be more for people who are genuinely curious about his character... we don't get many of those. Mostly we get people who either like him already and so join us in our lovely discussions. Or we get trolls who aren't interested in rational, considerate discussion.

I think the thing is folks who ask those questions don't really care or are too lazy too look into the character themselves. (like our Troll-of-the-day) I dunno, if someone can't be bothered about a character, would they really bother reading an FAQ?  

Of course, things like FAQs appeal to my process-oriented heart, but for me, I think the Cullen hate wheel has exhausted any interest in educating anyone anymore. ... Huh, who knew it was that kind of day? 

Of course, that all being said there are all sorts of posts here and on tumblr that sum up many of the good points. I suppose someone could be pointed there.
