The forum will get more and more busy the closer we get to release, that usually generates more genuine interest in, well, anything.
It'd be nice to just link a nice summary of as many frequent questions we all get to people who are curious, 'cause I know a lot of us get tired of repeating ourselves. Whether or not they decide to be catty afterwards is uncontrollable.
Like I said, it was just a thought I had.

That's true, but it could also be very handy for in the future if he is announced as a companion/NPC/seen in a video like GW guy and "Sera" before any official reveal.

No, it's a good idea. I worded what I meant poorly. Like I said, things sound clear in my brain, and come out jumbled when I try to convey what I mean, lol.
In conjunction to your idea, maybe adding links to other places such as "The Case for Cullen in DAI" would be beneficial as well.

So... What kind of things do you think should go into the Cullen FAQ, and where will the Cullen FAQ be?
I guess the first thing would be a run down of his story arc so far, so that they can read at a glance what he's experienced across the two games. Then move onto why we find that interesting etc.

Yeah, that's true, remember Xil? (Forget how to spell her whole name.) She was not a fan, but she was genuinely curious and very polite.

If you want to be really simple, you can divide up many parts of his story so far.
ex. Cullen was so nice to my f!Amell but now he is so mean to mages!!
-insert a few lines about his torture by blood mages in DAO and how it affected him-
The only place I can think to post it is tumblr since apparently the BSN is going to get rid of blogs. I have no fracking idea how to use the site either.

I think she had an Asari for her avatar, right? She wasn't a fan of Cullen, didn't even like him and was very pro-mage and anti-templar if I remember correctly. Also very protective about Merrill.

Here is what Mr. Gaider says
"Cullen to me represents another side of Templars which is a side that we
need to keep active. Not all Templars are these heartless bastards who
would happily torture mages, that's not true, there are Templars who are
good people. I think Cullen is a good man who recognizes that there are
dangerous in magic, dangers that have to be dealt with, but he doesn't
lack for compassion and doesn't try to say "Well, let's take the hard
approach and kill everybody and let the Maker sort them out." At the end
of DA2 he's the person who sort of tries to put on the brakes, the
voice of sanity if you will. I think that's important to represent, so
in that respect I like the idea of Cullen reappearing, I like that
element of his character, so it's definitely a possibility."

But wasn't Cullen also torturing/raping mages in Kirkwall too?

That is true Xil was not a fan but she didnt come here and bash the fans. Its true that some of the ppl even if they are not fans are trying to make some sort of sense of why we like him but for the most part there are ppl like in that other Cullen thread who only see the negative side and stick with it and refuse to see otherwise. But yea in the end I think the FAQ would be good for those who are TRULY intrested and not just come here for trolling, or just boredom. There was also another post made by a girl a while back witch I think explained Cullen pretty well , I will see if I can find it

"Here's the link, and here's an article on his disease. Have a nice day."
Even if the visitor did not actually look at the article, it was there in case someone did. I even linked it in my signature for a long time. If anything, it's a nice thing to have because we got tired of telling people too - especially since our reasons were on the first page!
EDIT:
Is it the full moon? There is an influx of Cullen hate in confessions, memes, and threads! It's like...everyone's afraid of Valentine's Day!
Honestly, I don't think anything will be reavealed on V-Day. *shrug*

I wrote the entire first page of the Joker thread, and whenever someone came into the thread asking about Joker and WHY we liked him so much, it was my job to post the link to the first page.
