From what I understood, he's doing all of it but only has major pieces done so far, like the main theme and location themes and such...

Yeah, according to the article he's got the main theme, Ferelden and a couple of other major pieces completed and is still working on the rest. It sounds like he's making them as each piece of the game comes into fruition.

Here's hoping for some LI info on Valentine's day.

I would just flip if they announced Varric as an LI. We already know that he's a companion, so that wouldn't be spoiled if they were trying to keep some companions a secret. But I would be so happy. I'd be like, YES! Finally!

I liked Inon Zur too, but also...I don't know. His music fit with DA but at the same time most of the stuff wasn't memorable. Fenris' Theme, and the music when the Keeper visits the Alienage are both amazing, but they are the only pieces I remember in the DA series EVER. I listen to both soundtracks quite often these days and I still have to go "Wait, what was this? Oh, that." Of course Mr. Zur was rushed for DA2, which is understandable. So I hope that Mr. Morris will keep with the original DA theme, but certainly add the flare it needs.

No Enya singing during the fade-out, please. XD

Admittedly this was my problem with Mr. Zur too. He dose compose a great score! But... hardly any of the DA songs have stayed with me up until this point. And the only ones I really do remember came alongside a pretty memorable scene, like when the Keeper arrives in the Alienage or in DA:O when you're going over the bridge after finishing the Joining, and it cuts to the scene with the army...

Yeah, there are some exceptional tracks and the rest are kinda meh.

The one thing I do hope is that it still retains a Dragon Age feel to it. I mean, DAI has undergone a massive transformation. When I watched that demo it didn't feel like a DA game until Varric started talking, so I hope that they'll make a big thing out of the companions/interaction/banter/important NPCS/etc because otherwise it's gonna feel like a completely different franchise, lol.

I don't mind that, really. As long as he is romanceable, in some capacity, by race, gender, class, whatever, I'll be happy. If I have to play a dwarf to romance Varric, I'm fine with that. If I can't be a mage to romance Cullen, I'm fine with that. If I have to be a Qunari in order to romance Iron Bull, that's okay, too. As long as the options are there.

I'm sad to see Inon Zur go, but I'm looking forward to Trevor Morris's work. I loved his work on "The Tudors" and this one is probably my favorite, I cried like a baby when I watched this episode.
