Since when is having a crush on someone creepy? First PT with a mage, I never thought anything of it. 

"Oh cute, he has a crush on my mage. Oh look, I can "get to know him". *eyebrow wiggle* Hah! I made him stammer! OMG NOW HE'S RUNNING THAT IS TOO FLIPPIN' FUNNY. I love this guy!"

Then in the tower later with his monologue...I had Zevran with me. That made the situation ten times more embarrassing! 

Zev: Well someone was a little heartbreaker before they left the tower! My, my.
Me: I WAS NOT- okay, I was. CULLEN STAHP.

It furthered prooved, at least to me, that the crush was one-sided and maybe Amell or Surana found it cute; or depending on game-play perspective was willing to see where this crush went.

OMG, PhantomGinger and MMG, hearing about all your snow is so horrible! NPR almost made me cry this morning when it said that some kids had to sleep at school overnight because their parents couldn't get to them.

On Cullen and creepy, I think MMG's right that it's a bit of a running joke now for them now, not just because some random mentioned it. The random was just connecting their dots. After all, the creepy hair brushing and Twilight comparisons have been going on since DA:O came out. Which I hate, because I think the joke went on so long that Cullen haters now quote what DG said as "proof" that Cullen is creepy. *sigh* For every "voice of sanity" comment, there's always "if I wrote a Cullen romance, it'd have to be creepy as h3ll." <_<

So yeah, it does worry me a bit sometimes.

We're fine over here, other than people not knowing what shoes to wear on the ice  Luckily people learned their lessons from Friday (previous storm... two traffic fatalities) and the roads were deserted today and yesterday. I haven't left the apartment all day today, except to poke my head out and grab some packages that had been delivered. 

Yes I saw that story about Atlanta  At first, I was thinking, "Those poor babies!" But it looks like the kids actually had a great time and were watching movies all night. So now I'm thinking, "Poor parents," having to sit at home, knowing you can't get to your babies!

Oh, and yes, poor teachers, having to watch 300+ kids all night

when DA:O first came out and the devs actually participated in the character threads, there were a series of posts by DG and Sheryl Chee, Cullen's DA:O writer, about how shocked they were that Cullen had fans. The conversation rolled along until the writers were saying things like how a Cullen. romance would be creepy, would be short & end violently, would involve him brushing her hair in a fetishistic way. Later at least Sheryl relented and said actually she had never untended him to be creepy or inappropriate. I have the posts saved on my laptop if you're interested. (Edit: you can see a previous discussion on it with links to the originals here)

anyhoo if you take any individual post out of the series, out of context,  it sounds like the writers intended him to be a sociopath. So this gets trotted out sometimes.

Well, I don't get the Thane-obsession, or the Teagan obsession, and it has become clear to me that people will want to have romances with/write fanfic about pretty much any character. There is nothing wrong with this. I did not mean to be insulting. God knows I've had my "OMG DRACOOOOOOO!! *heart heart heart drool*" moments. I was expressing regret that I did not realize this at the time of the Broken Circle's writing, or I would have put in a bit more dialog for Cullen and closure for the female mage.
