Well, we're all "friends" on here. If the thread ever gets randomly deleted, we can contact each other and figure out what to do I know we're not ALL friends with each other (hard to keep track of who you've friended or forgotten to friend), but everyone I think is "friends" with someone in this thread.

I don't think we do have a plan, which is why I brought it up. We've kicked around ideas for the future once the DA:I char forums open, but usually our backup plan was to come back here to the kitten orphanage when things inevitably got rough. If they seriously closed this one ? I don't think we should wait til the new character forums open. I think we find a quiet corner of DA2 forums to restart, whatever might be most appropriate if they reorganize. You'll know it by the name: "OKCCDT Lives!"

What is all this talk about Cullen thread being deleted? I dont thing they are gonna delete these kind of threads I'm sure they can see that some threads that are not necessarily DAI are sill active such as this one and im sure the devs lurk here from time to time and know that we love to be here so I wouldn't worry too much about it unless they make another sub DAI companion thread then I suppose we can move there

When I first posted my displeasure, there wasn't the DA Franchise section of the forums up at all. It was like everything related to DA had gone missing. I could get here by going to my profile and clicking on the Cullen thread because I had posted last night, but from the main page, there was no way to find it. And when I backtracked to see where they had stuck us, I got a message saying that the forum didn't exist.

Everything is up and working now, though. At least it seems like it is.

ah, I see.  I wonder what they really did. I just used my bookmark for the page, so the forum URL structure at least didn't change.

It's always good to have a back up plan. And I like that name, too. I second this motion to create an emergency group.

About Tevinter I kind of suspected that we wouldn't get to see it in this game if only because it like Orlais is incredibly important to present Thedosian (right word?) affairs. I suspect a much more focused story involving the Qunari in DA4 along with some other stories. I was kind of glad to, I feel Minrathous, like Val Royeaux,  really needs a beautiful and massive first showing and sharing that with like four other countries might mess with that. 

As for our back up I've always toyed with the idea of a fan site where we could all just chill and not worry to much about trolls or whatever, but the idea of us having to REALLY moderate each other is a little frightening.  Not because I think we'd need a lot,  but because the very nature of a mod changes that person's role within a relationship and I like that we can be so casual. Not to mention the inherent bonuses of being two clicks away from the main news hub.

It's not so much the update as a wake up call that we don't have a backup plan. We have no idea what the future of the BSN is. For all we know, we could wake up tomorrow and have a completely new forum and everything will be gone. TBH, I keep hoping for a new platform, which I figured they were hinting at with that survey last year. Can't be too prepared.
