Me either. I'm playing Skyrim (way too much) right now, and the one NPC I've killed just to kill, my character had a very strong reason for wanting dead. It was not random or petty, and my character hated him so badly she killed him in front of everyone and just waited to get arrested.

I just don't get the desire for indiscriminate slaughter in games. It seems pointless. I'm not opposed to character death, obviously, but I want it to be meaningful and have consequences.

(On a random Skyrim note, I've had the song "Age of Aggression" hopelessly stuck in my head all day. )

I wish it were possible to like posts on the BSN the way you can on tumblr. That Cullenite Inquisition series totally deserves about a billion likes.

So a quick public service announcement that we're approaching Page 3000, so any folks interested in contributing to celebration should start to think about something Culleny. I dunno if we want a theme, although IIRC we've heard a suggestion of AU, maybe. Another notion is the Cullen tshirt challenge. It also would be cool to see if we could draw out the lurkers for just one page (no pressure!).

Thoughts? Ideas?

I used to belong to a fanfic site called The Attic that would issue a writing challenge every week. (This was a Baldur's Gate site) Anyway, one week the challenge was fractured fairy tales where you would take the Baldur's Gate characters from either game, or both, and insert them into a fairy tale or folk story of your choice. (I chose Jack and the Beanstalk.) So my thought was, we could list a fairy tale or folk story we would insert Cullen into, along with any supporting characters we wished. You wouldn't have to actually write the story, unless you wanted to of course, but it would be interesting to see what people would come up with.

I also like the t-shirt challenge.

One thing I like about the t-shirt challenge, is that I don't think it requires someone to be an artist like I used to assume. Like seeing all the redbubble tshirts... it could be an interesting quote or anything like what we do around here for banners and whatnot.  If we find one we really like and folks want it to be more 'polished' with proper format/resolution/whatever for submission to cafepress or zazzle or something for an actual tshirt, then maybe we could ask one of our resident experts to help transform it.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on the tshirt design, since I'm not particularly artsy myself... but I'm more confident these days that I could come up with some ideas... maybe.

I like the fairy tale idea, particularly since it wouldn't necessarily have to be written. Kinda like the banter theme... which is also an option for page 3000. Generally we like to leave it open to whatever anyone wants to do... and if they need an idea/prompt, they can use the theme(s). So this could definitely be one of them.

No, it wouldn't fit the character and I only have one character.

That isn't to say that my character necessarily objects to killing people; she does so if she has to. Murdering NPCs outside of combat, though, is not her thing, with the exception of the one guy. (Mulush gro-Shugurz, for the record.) 

It's not my thing as player, either.
