Popping in quickly and sporadically to see how everyone is doing.

While I'm sorry I haven't been around much at all the past few months, I'm happy to announce that we had our baby on January 9! We now have a very handsome baby boy, named Alistair! (Husband would not agree to naming him Cullen, but at least I got some Dragon Age into our gene pool!)

Congrats, both on the baby and on the name!!  Isn't one of the dev's called Alistair as well?

Congratulations!!!  I didn't have to worry about naming a boy since I had 3 girls. I have to go with your husband on this one... how many people would think you named him for the "other" Cullen? Besides, Alistair is a great name!

LOL Good point. What's funny is that in 15 years, I doubt anyone would guess the reference anyway. I remember my sister wanted to name her daughter Sophie about 10 years ago and was worried folks would think she stole it from the Da Vinci Code, which had just rocketed to the top of the pop culture pile. Incidentally, Bella has recently been on the top 10 list of U.S.  baby names.

as for the dev diaries, somehow I have a feeling they MIGHT be releasing that on the last day of the month....(if at all)

I hope a dev diary comes out before the 28th, cause I'm taking a week off everything at that point. A friend is coming over to spend a week or so on my couch, so that we can marathon our way through the new remake of Tales of Symphonia (one of my all-time favs that he's never touched).

I'd hate to return to a BSN where the diary is old news and I can't scream at awesome stuff contained within with unrelenting glee without looking odd

The devs are being unusually quiet today. I know it's only early in Canada, but usually they start tweeting the minute they get to work. Maybe they're crunching or are having a big meeting?

A friend of a friend was talking about naming their boy Grey (after Gandalf) a few years ago. She didnt understand why I was horrified by the idea...

I think the BSN took a vote and decided that any screaming going on in here is already odd.  You're safe with us dear..

Also I am so with you about the beta! I would love to watch a dragon age test like he did with skyrim online!  I bet it would be so beautiful...I can see all of us now, "My God...it's full of Cullen." 
My other big hope is that if they DO release something like that it isn't the same area we saw them (show us at pax)but if that's what the Devs choose to do I'll still be happy lol! :happy:

My god, AO3 has so many fics.
I read a rather nice AU where Cullen was a mage and Carver was Templar escorting him from the Gallows to Starkhaven.
