Is that right? Have you seen that kind of regionality in the Fereldan accents? Cool!!LolaLei wrote...

Oh yeah! I was wondering about that one, my first thought being that maybe some new Thedas country would have an american southern accent as its regional accent. LOL How funny would that be? Your interpretation probably makes more sense.LolaLei wrote...
One of the devs made a tweet about a southern accent for the protagonist, I'm wondering if that'll be Ferelden again or Orlais since they are both in the South side of the map.
Unless it's a southern accent from whatever country in Thedas he/she is from. So if they were from Antiva then it would be the southern part, which I guess would be a southern Italian accent? Or if it's Ferelden then that's a southern English accent anyway lol.

Gah I really need a new Bioware game to play that I've never played before. I wanted to try out some of their older games but you can't get them on xbox 360 and I don't have a powerful enough computer to download them and play them on that. I would try out the SWTOR mmo but again my PC wouldn't be able to handle it.
I've been meaning to ask -- would you recommend Jade Empire? I remember always wanting to play it but it was originally only out on xbox. I don't recall why I never played it when it came to PC... maybe my machine wasn't good enough at the time...
My husband's really been enjoying SWTOR, but I haven't gotten that far yet. It sure it purty, tho!
My own experience is pretty limited, but have you played NWN or DDO? Not sure if they're only on PC, tho.

R2: Yeah, Ferelden's all sound like me and the variations you get ranging from posh to common. Most of the Kirkwallers sound like Londoners, of course, there's also a bit of a mixed bag since some of the voice actors like Greg Ellis are actually Northerners, so his accent for Cullen is a bit of a mix 'n' match of Southern and Northern English accents where his accent slips occasionally, I can tell by the way he prounounces certain words... But that's part of his charm anyway lol.
*sigh* He is just adorable. He posted on his FB page that he's got some recurring role on TV next season with Keifer Sutherland. Dying to know if he's done any VA for Bioware.

EDIT: Now why would Cullen pass up the opportunity to get jiggy with F!Amell/Surana?

He might be rude and put me off Cullen's character (childish I know.) Or he'd say "Bioware haven't contacted me so I guess not" or "no and I wouldn't have time to because of my other work commitments" - and then I'd be like dammit Bioware!

The few interviews with him I've seen, he's seems lovely. You should ask!!! Honestly, no matter what he says, we'll agonize and dissect anyway. LOLLolaLei wrote...

According to Hepler they only came out of Pre-production in June, which is when she started writing the character dialogue for her assigned characters, so the script can't be ready for VA's yet surely? So I guess they haven't started recording their lines? Gah!
I bet they are also making some trailers with Machinima
Hopefully they won't be as deceptive as they were with DA:2<_<

But I think that's a little extreme, mostly I've heard that from DA2 haters and people that are feeling betrayed over the ME3 endings.

It's crazy to think that one day in-game graphics will be as good and eventually better than those game trailers. It'll be awesome!

The Arishok was super hot in the trailer too and then when I get to the Qunari compound I think I was sitting there for a few minutes wondering what happened to the poor guy lol...

I swear the only companions from DA:O to come out looking attractive in DA2 was Nathaniel and Leliana. And the only person to come out looking more attractive than they did in DA:O was Cullen!

The concept art of the female Kossith/Qunari was smokin, I dread to think what she would have looked like in DA2 LOL!

I hope we see some lady kossith in the next game! Would be even better if we could have a character from either outside the qun or a qunari. I partially blame the graphic style they used for that ugly stick they beat most of the characters half to death with or the fact that there were some designs that they forgot to put in(such as zevran's eyebrows...)
I'm just glad that Cullen didn't get dealt a bad hand in the design department

Yeah, Cullen was abnormally attractive, you didn't notice so much during actual game play because of the camera angles (especially on the console version), but as soon as it hit the close up cinematics and dialogue back 'n' forth convo's you really notice just how pretty he is, even with the dark circles under his eyes.
