Ah, ok! I've got loads of questions now, I'll have to make a bunch of videos to answer them all. I could probably do them fortnightly or something.eluvianix wrote...

hey does anyone know of any quotes or something form the chat of light that Cullen might recite?
I don't think we ever hear him directly speak the Chant.

Benedictions is pretty Templar-y, if a little bit too Meredith for a post Act 3 Cullen.
"Blessed are they who stand before
The corrupt and the wicked and do not falter.
Blessed are the peacekeepers, the champions of the just."

I definitely think Cullen's "ideal" of a templar is a champion of the just and a peacekeeperElfman wrote...

However, I also agree that at the end of Act 3 he doubts whether they have truly acted in a just manner, and in the name of peace....

Maker, though the darkness comes upon me,
I shall embrace the light. I shall weather the storm.
I shall endure.
What you have created, no one can tear asunder.

It sounds kind of applicable to the situation in DAI. Things are dark, and Cullen must cling to his faith.LolaLei wrote...

I doubt it. I think that even Lambert would have seen the necessity in striking down Meredith, cause she was plain bashi*t crazy by that point.LolaLei wrote...

Not if there was a cover up. With Hawke gone AWOL and his companions likely avoiding dealing with the law, who's left to take the blame? Cullen. Would the Templar Order really want to admit that one of their own went bat **** crazy on red lyrium? Especially if the rebelled templars are the ones now huffing it. Cover it up and they've got themselves sole access to the red stuff.eluvianix wrote...

Well, I never said the guy wasn't a monumental ass, but he would have seen Meredith's obvious insanity as liability, and Cullen was in the right by trying to relieve her of her duties. It wasn't Cullen's fault that she chose to react violently.

Pre-Asunder, though, I doubt we have red templars. The only ones who knew about the Primeval Thaig, and more specifically the red lyrium, would have been Bartrand, maybe Meredith, Hawke's gang, and the Wardens. With Lambert currently "MIA", I can see post-Asunder some splinter factions of Templars hunting down red lyrium. I doubt that Lambert himself would support the use of red lyrium.LolaLei wrote...
