Hmm I haven't had trouble telling the eye colors apart, but my TV is only a year old. Could be your display?

I can tell them apart for the most part, my problem is working out whether or not I have the right eye colour I want. If that makes sense.

Don't get disheartened, you're still young so you've got plenty of time to do all the courses and develop the skills needed. Plus, there are also indie games developers out there who are easily accessible and would serve as experience if you work on some of their games.... or you could make your own!

If it's something you want badly, definitely don't give up! <3

Thank you Lola for the encouragement.
Actually I was thinking of making some sort of a wannabe "DLC"  (for the Cullen fans) like something pre INQ about Cullen like when R2 had that page 2500 challange  about what Cullen has been up too since DA2  (obviously  it would be on a completely diffrent engine like UDK / Unity/ CryEngine) Also would require some voice acting and some writting of the story, and some concept arts... and then I would do the modeling and then implement everything into the engine.. idk I guess its just a crazy thought I had... there are certantly A LOT of talented ppl in this thread.. just saying:whistle:

I have finally caught up with the thread (again) and felt 'obliged' to log on to my pc (I hate to use my tablet for posting) to give you a lil bit more praise. Honestly, when I was looking at your Cullen model in early stages I could never guess it would finish so lovely with final textures. It looks great! Looking forward to future goodies ;)

I don't think trying to tell Dragon Age eye colors was ever as bad as Mass Effect.

But at least ME1 had purple eyes.

In my case DA2 is the winner of 'random eye colour' contest. Seriously, last time I opened it on my bfs ps3 I was playing eeny, meeny miny with darker eye colours for my mage. Don't recall major problems with ME, but I was playing it solely on the pc so that might be the issue (as mmg pointed out).

Cullen provides that Pro-Templar role a bit better than Cassandra does. I also think she's going to be much more involved in the investigation of the Big Bad then of the Mage-Templar War. Cullen would have opinions (I'm assuming) on Red Templars beyond "TRAITORS!!!" and on the Circle system itself since he's seen the flaws of more free reign (Ferelden) and utter lockdown (Kirkwall).

Nitpick: Ferelden didn't have more free reign, per se; the crisis came largely because of Loghain's coup.

When I first played DA:O I couldn't use very high graphics settings on my laptop and there was no eye color. None. Zip. I was totally perplexed as to why I even CHOSE an eyecolor for my PC, because I couldn't see it. Heh, replaying it after  DA2 on a new, faster computer,  I literally had the aha, lightbulb moment when I saw the eye color for the first time. Same with the misty, blurriness of the Fade. There was none of that in my low res version. LOL So I finally also understood some of the frustration with the Fade sequences. :pinched:

I couldn't tell anything apart when we had an old TV. And I needed glasses. Now I have glasses, and we have a new TV, a good TV. Was so excited to play Origins on the new one only to discover I still couldn't see the damned colours. Fiddled with the settings, didn't really do much.

I can -see- them for the most part, but it eventually strains my eyes too much because it's too damned tiny and the worst, to me, is the lighting. Throws the character into shadows. It'd be better if they gave you an option to shine a light on the character, like Skyrim on PC can do.

I would be inclined to think it was freer rein in comparison to Kirkwall, not so much because of the crisis but because of what Anders said about the various shenanigans sexual and otherwise, and just because the architecture itself would be working against attempts at close supervision - virtually none of the corridors have much in the way of sight lines and a lot of the doors are inward-opening.

Well, in comparison to Kirkwall... but ultimately, what I mean is that if it did have more free reign, that wasn't the cause of the crisis.

And, in regards to my new signature, I will say that Cullen's closer to the "young men who lost their way" end of that scale.

Oh no doubt, but from an ingame character perspective I could see it being misconstrued as a flaw of too much freedom rather than say rogue mage gone wrong like in say Kirkwall. Too much freedom and you might wind up with an Uldred, too little and you're most certainly leading the way for a Meredith or Alrik.

Oh, that's a good idea. If we could move the lighting around, it could also show us what our characters might look like in-game. I can't tell you how many times I would get really frustrated when my character would look good in the CC but terrible in most lighting situations whilst playing the actual game. *coughMassEffectcough*

I was hoping there could be a zoom feature added, too. That would really help.

I followed him, but I don't even really use Twitter (don't have a smart phone and I follow like a million people so it's impossible to keep up with). So if something "special" happens, they better announce it elsewhere lol

I really hate Twitter, tbh <_< *grumpy old woman*  You literally would have to follow less than 50 people to be able to get any use out of it.

Just keep an eye on the Twitter thread. Usually, I, Hrunger, Elite Pinecone, Rachel37, or Wiedz tend to update it rather quickly.

Possibly I'm even too lazy for that :innocent: Fortunately, Cullenites usually post Twitter stuff here almost faster than the Twitter thread. *points to Ag :D*
