I'm not sure myself, I'm just taking a broad stroke to it and making assumptions since they seem content with teasing us with tweets...  Though I don't really pay attention to twitter all that much(when I say that, I mean never) :

LOL Me either. If Lola didn't keep us apprised, I'd have no idea!

I wonder, tho, if they give us multiple origin/background choices for the PC, will they give us multiple voice choices?  Gosh, that would take a lot of dev resources, but it would be kinda cool.

That said... when we could choose different voice sets in DA:O, it was hard for me to tell what they would really sound like until I played it. I know you could click on the example phrases during chargen, but I could never remember which phrases my PC said most often. So, I just remember being SO super annoyed with one I had chosen based upon the apparently infrequent non-annoying things she said.

LMAO yes, I admit, I had to google "fat quarters." But, no matter what they are, that's a damn funny sentence...

It think it would be so worth it to have something like origins in terms of the different characters.  People like variety and variety wasn't all that well given in DA2 so hopefully they make up for it in DA3.  Beyond that, I wonder what other games Bioware will be coming out with?

Lmao! I hope he does have a really unexpected hobby. He strikes me as the type that spends a lot of time training. I have this image in my head of him having a particularly rough day with his PTSD (perhaps he'd been having nightmares or was upset about something and couldn't sleep) so he'd go out to the training yard and practice his sword & shield skills, work on his Templar abilities and excerise to the point of exhaustion so that he can pass out for the night without any problems.

... Maybe that's what he does every night? Oh man, wouldn't it be awesome to get a scene with him in DA3 where we find him training at some ridiculous time of night (preferably topless) and then he'd tell us about his nightmares/troubles.

I wouldn't be surprised if he trained as a way to work through his problems. It would make for interesting dialogue to have the protagonist and him talking in the middle of the night about his problems(when the friendship is high enough or maybe if he was an LI)

OMG, I can just imagine the looks Cullen would get with his arms full of fabric swatches. "What? I get locked in the Gallows every night. What else is there to do?"

I mean, he just doesn't seem the sort to have a laundry list of vices to indulge. In fact, I can only imagine his expression as the protagonist of the next thing explained a few of them to him.

PizzaTheHutt: I'm hoping that they'll give us some form of origin. I doubt they'd do the race origin thing again even if we do get to pick our protagonists race. But, I could see them giving us class origins. Actually, it wouldn't be too impliment that into the game at all, because there's only ever 3 classes to choose from (warrior, rogue and mage) so they'd only have to come up with 3 origin class stories regardless of the protagonists race or social standing.

If not then I hope they at least give us a playable prologue for the protagonist before we head off on his/her grand adventure.

I LOVE THIS!!

I totally agree with you, that he probably doesn't really have any normal person hobbies. Given the primacy of his duty, his hobby is probably getting better at his job, which means... further perfecting "that body," as per DG. LOL It reminds of a fic I was reading recently where the protagonist often referred to him as "a work of art." Yup, I see it.

"Um, well, Cullen, I could... draw you a picture of it...? Would that help??"

Perhaps they'll just start off the protagonist in the same place not matter gender or race.  Just as long as they do a better job at it, unlike lothering.

It makes me wonder what little quirks they'll give him if he is a companion. Like Anders had a soft spot for kitties, Varric liked to tell stories, Isabela loved ships and sex, Alistair was a bit of a dork with a perchant for cracking jokes, Merrill was naive, Sten loved cookies and cakes etc. I hoping they'll go with "socially awkward/inexperienced" for Cullen.

I could imagine him being reasonable yet socially awkward. Maybe with a love of books.

Yeah, that's more likely. Would be cool to get some different origins though.

He'll definitely have some quirk, since all Bioware companions do, I'll be really intrigued to find out what his would be.

You know DG mentioned in a tweet about Cullen's good body, do you suppose he's seen fan art and body swaps etc of him topless? I'm sure he's come across one or two to have made a nod to it lol.

Without a doubt, I'm sure a lot of the devs look up the fanart and all that of the characters they worked so hard on.  Some of them might be good surprises while some others might be....  Surprises...

That would be AMAZING! Especially as they like to tease us with him regularly. Makes me wonder if he is indeed lined up to be a companion after all? I know Mike Laidlaw is very aware of his popularity after he replied to me in a tweet about it lol.

Amen to that! LOL The topless  model I use for Cullen is actually Keran's! Of course, it's really just "generic topless human male," but twould be nice to see Cullen's... Honestly, I see him having a leaner physique than the kinda beefcakey DA2 model... more like the DA:O one, which also acknowledges that most Fereldans aren't shaving their chests.

I dunno, I think he'd be quite broad and muscular, especially because he's a warrior carrying around heavy armor on his back all day long, so he'd have to be fairly muscley. He'll probably be built kinda like Kaidan in ME3 I reckon. I wonder if he'll have chest hair? I really want him to have a Templar insignia tattoo on him, maybe branded into the skin or something like that poster Gala photoshopped.
