Sorry, Lola, I totally missed that before. I really want that to happen. It must be so. (Please....)R2s Muse wrote...

Lmao! I hope he does have a really unexpected hobby. He strikes me as the type that spends a lot of time training. I have this image in my head of him having a particularly rough day with his PTSD (perhaps he'd been having nightmares or was upset about something and couldn't sleep) so he'd go out to the training yard and practice his sword & shield skills, work on his Templar abilities and excerise to the point of exhaustion so that he can pass out for the night without any problems.
... Maybe that's what he does every night? Oh man, wouldn't it be awesome to get a scene with him in DA3 where we find him training at some ridiculous time of night (preferably topless) and then he'd tell us about his nightmares/troubles.
I LOVE THIS!!
I totally agree with you, that he probably doesn't really have any normal person hobbies. Given the primacy of his duty, his hobby is probably getting better at his job, which means... further perfecting "that body," as per DG. LOL It reminds of a fic I was reading recently where the protagonist often referred to him as "a work of art." Yup, I see it.

I hope the companions do get their own customised bodies, all they need is one fully clothed and one naked/semi naked. I saw a tweet from one of the devs about an example for naked body types for companion's etc that he could never "unsee" which sounds promising lol!
Wait, which tweet was this that you speak of?

I agree, but unless the guy has a defective thyroid, he's probably going to be muscular and broad. He gets plenty of exercise (all that midnight training, which is now headcanon, by the way), has an excellent diet (none of the templars look underfed), and has no vices to turn his muscle to fat.LolaLei wrote...
To be honest, any topless Cullen is good lean or beefcakey LOL!
Or maybe I'm just mentally giving him Carrot's body and lifestyle.

I can't remember, I posted it up in here a few pages back. I'll see if I can find it again.

oh! Thanks a lot! I hope they gives us a better set of face tats and hopefully some body tats as well, wouldn't mind some sweet piercings as well!Maybe with those vocals they were using the trogdor song as an audition song haha.
You're welcome, I post them up as I find them so I put them in her usually a couple of times a week, depending on how often the writers and devs tweet about DA3... They've been pretty quiet these past 2 weeks though.
I love the tweet about the "visual treat for you eyes" hopefully they'll take some ideas from that DA3 environment thread that was going on for a while.

I hope the "visual treat for your eyes" means that both the enviroment and the character customization have been improved upon. Perhaps different body types, etc?
Any improvement would be a bonus. I think everything will be more colourful this time round, which means hopefully Orlais won't be washed out looking, like it was in the DotS movie.

Honestly, I kind of like it when they're sparing with the tats/piercings... except as player character customizations. For some characters, it makes sense. Fenris is all about his tattoos and Isabela would be a lot less like Isabela without her bling, but when everybody and his dog has them, they stop being special. That's the big thing for me. I'm totally not into tattoos or piercings IRL *unless* it has some religious, cultural, or other great importance. So I like the idea of Cullen having a templar tattoo very much, but I wouldn't expect Anders to have one (not that Anders is going to be in the next game; it's just an example). If Cullen did have that templar tattoo, I wonder how he'd feel about it. Would he regret it? Would he wear it as a symbol of pride for what the order used to mean? Would he worry that someone would see it?PizzaThe Hutt wrote...

I've been thinking about this myself today (as you zone in my brainwaves!), and those are all good points! I was thinking that if he had one, it would be because every templar got one, not because he was at the pub with the other recruits when drunken group think came up with a brilliant idea to head to the local tattoo parlor. If they were mandatory, indeed, what would he think about having his templar uniform essentially be skin deep and inescapable? And, then if he's no longer a templar in DA3, would it feel like a "scar" he couldn't escape? Or perhaps cherished as the one thing he has left?berelinde wrote...

I think Cullen would see it as a "seal", part of being a Templar (presumably they'd all have the Templar insignia tattooed on them somewhere) so in that regard I think he would be proud of it because he's proud of being a Templar if that makes sense? But, I get the impression that tattoos in the DA universe aren't worn as a thing to show off about or just for the hell of it. They seem to be based on tribe tradition like the Dalish etc.
Mind you, Alistair and Zev have a conversation about him getting one, so maybe they do it for fun too?

I don't really think they should give everyone and his dog tats and piercings, I just want them to be avaliable for the protagonist. It would just be silly if everyone had a tattoo or a piercing. Especially if Orlais will be a main setting, I doubt very many people in Orlais would have any body art or things like that since many consider body art to be a "Lower class" thing. At least that's what I get from it, also not many of the nobles in either DAO or DA2 had any form of body art besides lower nobles who happened to be warriors(unless they had a tat of a mabari somewhere under their clothing, that is)..
Definitely. Especially with distinctive piercings, they should be reserved for specific companions like Isabela etc and the protagonist. Of course if we visited Rivain then tattoos and piercings would be the norm I would presume?
I really hope they do give us more customisation options for the protagonist in character creator, I feel like unless you use the default models your character ends up looking like every other NPC out there, which sucks when all your companions have their own unique appearance. In my personal opinion the protagonist should look as unique as those companions unless you as the player decide otherwise.

I honestly never noticed the theme songs. I never really noticed the music, in fact(except for the Arishok theme, it's rather notciable). I wonder what Cullen's theme would sound like...
In DA2 they were all quite similar, except for Isabela's. Hopefully they won't cut out the companion theme songs at all. I think Cullen's would probably be similar to Fenris' with the whole moody atmospheric thing going on, maybe with that woman doing the echoey singing in the background that shows up in a lot of the DA tunes lol.
