Ok so this is very off topic, (and I apologize because it's a slight rant but!) I was playing DAII and you know one thing I really want for DAI is a female protagonist who doesn't walk so annoying. B!tch ain't Cat Woman bioware! Seriously it's very annoying because NO ONE walks that way! Why would the Champion of Kirkwall- well known bad@ss who comes from sturdy dog folk Ferelden strut around like she owns the Blooming Rose!?

I will admit that the one great thing that came from it was when Lola did the Cullen Catwalk thing though. :D

What's the deal with girl scouts? Why do they sell cookies? Are they raising money for something?

Yeah, it's supposed to be their badge for learning business skills, but they've turned into a probably multi-million dollar business. The girls are still supposed to be the ones selling them, tho, like door to door or whatever. There was an article on it on NPR recently, and they interviewed a mom who let her daughter set up a cookie stand in front of a medical mariju ana center. LOL The mom called it a "teachable moment"!

Pancake day this year is on March 4th, it's also called Shrove Tuesday.

It's the same day as Mardi Gras; same holiday, different practices.

Well there's the Barbaric Armour.
http://wiki.guildwar.../Barbaric_armor

And the armour skins in the Gem Store always border on the brothel-ready.

That always put me off of GW2 a bit. Don't get me wrong, I like to pretty my characters up sometimes, but I was annoyed that I had to go hunting in a short skirt and crop top... in a snowy environment of all things! And the men all got awesome outfits and armor.

LOL I couldn't find any armor like that I could wear at lower levels! Maybe it's just for the warrior classes that pickin's were slim. That barbarian armor isn't til Tier 5! I figured that was supposed to scale... that you needed real protection at lower levels, but I have my Awesomeness to protect me at level 65, so I can run around half naked.  :D

Yes girl scouts sell cookies while boy scouts do cool things like camping and white water rafting.

I jest, sort of. Some girl scouts JUST managed to get the organization to okay the option to do the camping stuff instead of the selling cookies stuff in order to get badges.

Hello 21st century!

Huh! Do you not have Girl Scouts in England?
Yeah Girlscouts always go around selling cookies specific to them. So a lot of people love buying Girlscouts cookies because for the most part you can only buy them from well, Girlscouts lol! What they raise money for is specific to the troop, for example one group may raise money for charity, one May raise it for the Girl Scout association as a whole and another group may raise money so they can all go to a place like six Flags.
In America a girlscout got on the news because she was BRILLIANT enough to sell cookies outside of a legal Pot store in colorado.

Yeah, I know. I like how folks try to claim that it isn't that bad... until you swap out a dude walking that way. I miss the way my PC walked in DA:O. Heck, how they all walked. I loved to just watch Alistair... walk. *sigh*

There is a whole thread about this in the DA:I forums; since it is the DA:I forums, people are evenly split, with one half ardently arguing that women naturally strut and to remove that strut is to condemn all female characters to hulking masculine caricatures.

You get them for flashing your boobs, don't you? ... That's what the movies taught me, anyway!

Agree! :D I mean check out these costumes: http://www.theatlant...e-world/100691/

Wow, the boob level is epic!

No way I could compete there sadly.

Hello 21st century!

I guess we have something similar called "brownies" for girls. They don't sell cookies, but they do get to do all the cool stuff like white water rafting these days.

Idk it didn't really bother me that much  I didn't really payed that much attention to it either, but I suppose they were trying  to go for a different animation so the male/female walk  can be somewhat different and not say that they were lazy with their animations

Ah, but when you mod your male characters to walk like female Hawke, the results are... fabulous!

Female Shepard ran like male Shep, and it often looked like she'd shat herself! They need to get the balance right and have the female Inquisitor just walk/run like a normal person!

In Canada we have Girl Guides. Less emphasis on cookies here, but they do sell them twice a year (delish!). My daughter went from 4-13 years old - her last year in Pathfinders they went to Mexico.

Don't forget the rainbows and girl guides! Though I don't know anyone who stayed on long enough past the brownies.

My favourite was the pre-ME3, 'I must sit like I have a massive schlong FemShep' because they couldn't be arsed to give her her own sitting animation.

Who would've thought that would be so apparently hard to do! LOL

I'll never forget the first time I saw fem!Hawke run in the DA2 demo. Oh. My. God. I thought she was going to break something. I thought I was, too, from my jaw hitting the table.

It must be so hard for the devs to get that right balance for all the different ways women want to play their games.

LOL, me neither! I never went, it always seemed really embarrassing to me, like super cheese-fest with the daft singing and stuff!

In their defense, BroShep also looked like he was in physical pain when running...

DA:O had it right, it was neutral enough for both genders.

I don't mean to sound judgmental....but that sounds like something straight men would say. Straight men who don't get laid nearly enough and have spent more time with game women then real ones lol! ALSO why is walking without knocking your hips to and fro considered masculine!? Also I know women that strut like men (more with shoulders than hips) and they look awesome. I just feel if they are going to give them a walk that our protagonist would walk with a sense of confidence and not with the intent of seducing ALL of Thedas lol!

Well but how is she supposed to sit, with her legs crossed like a little lady? lol I've seen the image in question and tbh I sit like that all the time. Only reason people were complaining is because she was in a dress... which I can't comment on since I've never played FemShep and don't now why she was even wearing a dress in the first place... did someone throw a frigging ball on the Normandy or something??
