I don't mean to sound judgmental....but that sounds like something straight men would say. Straight men who don't get laid nearly enough and have spent more time with game women then real ones lol! ALSO why is walking without knocking your hips to and fro considered masculine!? Also I know women that strut like men (more with shoulders than hips) and they look awesome. I just feel if they are going to give them a walk that our protagonist would walk with a sense of confidence and not with the intent of seducing ALL of Thedas lol!

Agreed! The walk should match the race of the character, if anything. The Inquisitor is gonna be commanding a lot of power, so his/her walk is gonna need to match that, without looking ridiculous!

Actually I think a lot of women were making that argument! *smh*

Well but how is she supposed to sit, with her legs crossed like a little lady? lol I've seen the image in question and tbh I sit like that all the time. Only reason people were complaining is because she was in a dress... which I can't comment on since I've never played FemShep and don't now why she was even wearing a dress in the first place... did someone throw a frigging ball on the Normandy or something??

Just sit with her legs closed. The dress was there because... I dunno, it just was, lol.

DA:O had it right, it was neutral enough for both genders.

Love, love, love the way everyone walked in DA:O. My Warden just looked so badass, to me.

She went to an Art gallery thing in a DLC and then went to a fund raiser in another one

You get the dress in the Kasumi mission. But it seems jarring to me, even when she's not doing her best Sharon Stone impression and in her armour. The Aria scenes in ME2 always made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Couldn't you change how you walked in Dragon's Dogma depending on how you positioned the legs and shoulders in CC? Seems like something minor enough to where if we could just alter it ourselves, more people would be happy.

I remember I made one that was supposed to be me, but it turned out super short and stomped around like a mad thing!

Yeah, my pawn walked all regal and manly. And I just walked like I had a pickle lodged in my bum. And was also very short. Was hard to tell the height differences till you had your character moving around in-game.

Idk to me is not that big of a deal I mean, as I said in that forum I think ppl use the term sexualization wayy too loosely now a days, there is nothing wrong with being feminine I mean.

IRL  i have a pretty manly walk but I would like to have  sort of a feminine walk as well (specially when Im on heels)  also it doesn't mean that if females are portrayed in a way in videos games/movies or whatever doesn't mean that men expects for every female to be that way Im sure that most ppl ARE aware that  not every female is perfect and has no flaws and its a freaking super model. Also to be fair  a lot of the times males are portrayed the same way  but ppl dont even stop to realize that because they are too busy to say that " oh they make every woman look like a  h oo ker " there are some women who are comfortable  with their femininity and sexuality, and some that are not.

But I dont think its fair to say that whatever commercial companies  put out there  that involves a female,  should be judged on EVERY WOMAN OUT THERE  because its not its just what some ppl think witch is not true.

YES!!! Reason #3498345 why Dragon's Dogma rocks. My little male Arisen is knock-kneed because I chose "ladylike" (it's hilarious; he's adorbs lol); meanwhile my Amazon pawn walks with her chest jutting out and her chin in the air, all haughty and badass like!

YAY FOR CHOICES.

I knew, I was right! I never detected a hint of a lisp at all! It was that ridiculous article some schmuck wrote up that was completely incorrect and, quite frankly, insulting.

A good point, and I think some more conservative women are feeling lately as if their femininity is under attack (and even not-so-conservative women); truth, women come in all shapes and sizes... and walks  The default really shouldn't assume hyper feminization though; it should be neutral... if we're not gonna have a choice like we did in Dragon's Dogma. Male and female walks should be the same... since they're mostly the same in RL (someone in the other thread pointed out that the difference in hip movement between men and women was 2 degrees... 2 DEGREES... does not warrant a strut LOL)

OMG, I SOOO called this! That came from that one XBox Live "journalist" who got all sorts of other stuff wrong. That was the only place it came from, his apparently faulty hearing from the demo. Thank the Maker she shot that one down.

I feel like I'm a bit of both. I mean, I'm clearly not lady-like in the traditional sense, and I swear like a trooper and I'm pretty tomboyish, however I'm also quite feminine at the same time.

I think that's just what women are like these days... we are what we are, lol.

While I'm pro-neutral walks, I have to admit, I'll be disappointed if Vivienne doesn't strut just a little bit.

OK there is NO way that I've reached 48 likes between now and this morning!!  WTF, BWF???

I think it's starting to censor me. My very first error message was when I tried to Like Elfman's post questioning the lisp in the Vivienne thread just now. Hmm... BWF, you zoning in my brainwaves...????
