You know since the picture of the deer(?) in water and the shot of the dwarf stature, I started to wonder if the "new thing you'll all like" would be a video showing off pretty environments/technical details the engine can pull off.

 

I know the PAX demo showcased some of the destructibility FB3 can achieve, but it wasn't anything in depth. Or even HD, for that matter.

 

It wouldn't exactly be giving much of the game itself away in terms of story/characters, but would still be informative and I'd bet very pretty to stare at.

Maybe... if it answers some questions, perhaps? If an elf wanders into the picture... or a halla even. Otherwise... fields of grass waving under the midday sun or grand trees overshadowing a dim-lit path or a glistening waterfall tumbling over some gray ruins... it's not going to do it for me, however pretty it is.

Yeeeah, okay that's a little less atmosphere and a little more like shaking keys in front of a baby's face or something. Environments without context could be from any game, after all. It's the shots of creatures we know, like the dragons and nugs and brontos, or a shot of just a random character or even the characters we know are a part of the cast interacting with said environment that makes it world building. /o/

I keep trying to stay away and somehow I end up checking just one more time before I give up and do something useful......release the information already people!  I have obsessive tendencies and a high boredom threshold - all this waiting is causing me ISSUES!  

 

(and those issues are unwashed dishes!  This is a bad situation, my future marital happiness may rely on the resolution of this problem.)

Danny can see the thread and he can Like, but he can't post (sadly, Sister Goldring's fix did not fix his situation). He misses everyone and says: 

 

I want to post in the thread so badly lol. I'm in the same boat with everybody on the Cassandra/Varric stuff even though *sigh* Cassandra . I mean I LOVE both of them, but I want new. It kind of needs to be someone other than Vivienne too though, I mean it would be better than the other two since she is relatively new, but I think we need hints at new companions or at the very least confirmations on some rumors; Cullen, Beardy, Sera, etc.

Oh poor virtual Danny!  I just had an image of him as a hologram begging for assistance a la Princess Leia. Hope they get his issues fixed.

 

Lola, I've decided that if you have to work you will need to take your phone along with. Then when the new info comes out you can sneak off to the restroom and record an 'on the scene' ditty like : *whispering* "This is Lola, reporting to you live from the loo with breaking DA news...". It would be a Youtube sensation.

Last month, I built a new gaming PC. I am soooo glad I sprang for the good graphics card!

My computer will run it, but not on the best settings, so I'm gonna get some more RAM and a better graphics card for it.
