There's no denying that his VO could easily pass as any of the playable races, which might be why they picked him?
I can hear it for an elf too, especially since we know that the elfquisitor is dalish.
I actually think we will see Kirkwall again. It doesn't matter if people will throw a snit fit over it if it's needed for the story, and it might well be. Kirkwall, because of what happened/the poisonous atmosphere around that place, might well be a location for a veil tear. The devs also made reference to Merrill's mirror, and unless she took that with her somehow if it wasn't destroyed I imagine it's still in Kirkwall?
...And considering my Hawke trusted Merrill to know what she was doin'/decided to let her deal with something that was about her people and heritage and he had no right to butt in on, my Inquisitor will have a demonic mirror to deal with. ![]()

It'll be a Dalish without a Welsh or Irish accent, though. *childish sulking*

Okay, so being the elf nerd that I am, I've spent several hours today (off and on) hunting for a new inspirational pic for my inquisitor, since none of the ones I have will work with that voice. I never thought I'd be tired of seeing Lee Pace's Thranduil but I swear to god you can't Google "elf king" or "elf prince" these days without turning up 200 photos of the guy.
So far all I have is this guy here:
But not feeling that AT ALL. He looks like he's wearing lip gloss... which okay is fine, and it's a beautiful picture, but that's not the type of inquisitor I'm wanting to play.
If anyone encounters a nice-looking "mature" elven guy on your internet travels, do send him my way ![]()
I also wanted to romance Cullen with a younger guy. I think this inquisitor will be 30+ at least though... I'm having to reimagine my entire fantasy Cullen romance, too! Blergh!
Well, they did say they wanted the inquisitor to be older than the usual RPG whiz kid protagonist. I should've listened!
You truly do have an eye for detail! It would be brilliant If we get to visit Starkhaven!
THX!
I don't think we'll get to Kirkwall this year (or ever). People are still bashing DA2 (which I hate ofc), but I don't see it as wise move from Bioware to return to that place.
Besides, there are so many new places to discover. There is so much more we have to see (Tevinter, Anderfels, Antiva etc. etc.)
Why Kirkwall?
This is old video from NYCC. About the future.

This is my map. Based on the presentation.
And map from DAI:

DAI Location and old concept art:

"Taxes were crippling and Perrin Threnhold used the ancient chains extending from "the Twins" standing at Kirkwall's harbour - Unused since the New Exalted Marches - to block sea traffic and charge exorbitant fees from Orlesian ships".

Well, there's always the official Dalish image from DA:O?
Or this...?
Also this, ignoring the fancy metal horn things...!
Annnnd...!
Oh wow dirgegun, that last one looks amazing!
When I get around to playing an elf, I think I'll try to make him look like Iorveth from TW2. Totally just pulled The Witcher card ahhhhh
Someone pointed out that the ballroom looks similar to the room where Morrigan was in the GI coverage. The ceiling and the chandeliers look the same.
... I've just noticed that the bald Elf guy in the video is carrying a staff... I think. *Squints*
Soooooo, he's probably Dorian?
Maybe
Looks like Elf from Tevinter.

I like the idea of an elf being the super powerful Magister! Makes for a nice switch!
I noticed something else from the video, nothing mind blowing but anyway:
There are mabari hound statues on this keep that belongs to the Templars (from whatever faction), sooooo this must be in Ferelden somewhere!
I agree. Dog is a symbol of Ferelden. So... This is Templar Stronghold in Ferelden ![]()
BTW. Maybe Templars from Tevinter? (Snake symbols).
I don't suppose anyone has the original leaked picture from the survey leak of Dorian's blurb?
”Dorian-Dorian Pavus is a Tevinter magister. The title conjures fear of arcane master who once enslaved nations. Dorian may wield the power of the magisters, but he delights in not being what you would expect. Brazen and clever, this outcast is on a crusade to rid his homeland of its corruption.”
Thing is...the elves are often slaves within the Imperium. Would the Magisterium ever allow an elf such magical training, let alone make him an actual magister?
Fenris' sister sold him out to become a magister, but whether or not Danarius was just playing her to get to him is anyone's guess.
