Man, DG is trolling through the Scuttlebutt DA:I forum! Laying down the tough love His words can really hurt sometimes. I wish he could just understand that forums are for discussion, for airing griefs and fangasming, for critiquing the tiniest detail or formulating the most absurd headcanons. 

 

It must be tough being a writer and seeing people mutilate your story and characters.

Ugh choosing the romance for my qunari Inquisitor is just the most difficult thing.

And for my Inquisitor, as I slowly realised we'd be probably Dalish no matter what, I looked at Merrill and Velanna for personality inspiration. So I basically came to isolated and abrasive, which I realised is really rather Anya, which is where she came in for me. I knew I wanted to make certain choices too, I wanted to be more pro-Qunari than anything, because we haven't really had much an option to be so far and the Qunari are definitely becoming more important in the lore, so hopefully we'll have that option. So obviously, I had to have something to isolate my Inquisitor, (called Elidri by the way, I like that name), from the Dalish, since they have very different views when it comes to mages. So I have this no doubt only headcanon backstory for her where she was a hunter in her clan, until both the Keeper and the First became possessed and the hunters were forced to kill them before they killed the entire clan. After this, what was left of clan basically split, one half trying to find another clan to join, the other becoming disillusioned with the Dalish as a whole so left for the city, which I imagine Elidri to have chosen for a time until she left the city to rejoin the Dalish, but still generally mistrustful of mages and therefore Keepers.

She does look very nice altho in the 1st pic witch is the concet art she has some goldish stuff on her clothing but in the ingame pics all i see is white/black/gray   no gold-ish stuff

Good point. If she's a fashion maven, I would expect many outfits. Altho, how many could she "travel around" with when following our Inquisitor? Hmm.

Good luck with that. He's never done VO for us previously, but if you'd like to cycle through every British actor over the age of 25, you're welcome to try.

I thought my sorta latina-inspired Awakenings Warden was basically splotchy. This looks much more natural.

On bald elf guy -- He reminds me of those generic fugly elves in DA2 that just stood around talking and had messed up faces. GIVE HIM SOME HAIR! Even a shaved head?! A mohawk. Ponytail mohawk. Even shaved head with cool designs etched into it?!

 

I'm shallow 

 

About the VA -- That does narrow it down, inasmuch as we can think of all the guys we've thought of and see if they've been hired by BW before or not. It's such a mature voice. Sigh. Still having to reexamine my inquisitor. The problem is that I don't usually write older characters. So it's hard to think of an inspiration.

Well I don't think the Vivienne she presents is the real her. Just copy and paste this from the Vivienne thread.
I'm thinking she's extensively reinvented herself. The 'barbed tongues of Orlais' makes me think she was initially looked down on for some reason, possibly for her not being Orlesian? Her accent seems proof of that, if the PAX demo is to be believed. So I think she's Ferelden, Rivaini, or some other nationality, came to Orlais and then changed her name herself. Which would fit in with the having no last name thing, or ' none she admits to'.
 
And yes, I am pro hair. That cool ponytail from the war room concept art preferably.

Hmm, looking at him up close, he kinda looks like bald Fenris to me, without the sexy cat eyes.
