Makes me wonder if the fact that Vivienne is so attractive means that she won't be an LI, just to mix things up a bit.

I kind of think the opposite.. Vive will be LI and Cass might not, kinda like how Aveline was...

That reminds me: the other reason I guess I don't think the elf is Dorian is that DG said something about it once that made it sound like we were crazy to think so. Of course, he is also the King of Obfuscation.

Oh the companions we've seen so far (including the maybe!Sera and the Grey Warden dude from the GI vids) I literally can't tell who will or won't be love interests. So far they all look plausible, but there's no way we'll have a fully romanceable party.

More seriously, I know. No idea. VIvienne sounds like a right challenge to romance, but then so was Anomen in BGII and Morrigan in DA:O.

Wait, you're the other person in the US who likes Anomen? There have been a lot of games since then, but he's still one of my favorite romances. Yes, I know he isn't perfect, but that's kind of the point.

 

I'm still pretty chill about the romances. I know I'll find someone to love. Before the details about Vivienne started to emerge, I was pretty sure I wouldn't like her, but the more outrageous she becomes, the more I begin to think that she may wind up as a favorite. And I love Cassandra... but if they push the "bullshit!" too much, my enthusiasm for her may cool. And who doesn't love Varric? Not sure about the elf guy, but we're a long way out from the release date.

What about the elf girl(Sera?)her being a LI is,a very high possibility for variety's sake alone. Although it won't be the first time we had two human fem LI's,if Cass and Vivi are the romanceable one's.

Well Vivienne is officially more awesome than....actually I can't comment because as a commoner and I don't think she'd want me to even appreciate the magnitude of her awesome.

 

She has pearls on her boots!  I love her and I'm going to steal her boots.   

 

PS - I'm guessing that if the hat doesn't come off she won't be a LI.  I suppose the hat could stay on...

I see that I kind of come out as the only "bad guy " who says all nasty things about Viv , I like how she looks dont get me wrong but I hope her personality its not the one of a snob person, that's the only thing Im sort of "worried " about. Other then that , I like her outfit  and I hope that I will get to know her more and that I will get to change my opinion of her

LOL Yup! I find it funny that Anomen was a hard nut to crack partially because DG didn't know he'd be romanceable. That must have been hard to write after making him such a jerk. But worth it! I adored the Anomen romance and found it really realistic in how he grew on me. He's like the pilot version of Alistair.

No, no... there's at least one other who likes Anomen      And he sure wasn't perfect. There were times when I wanted to headslap him and other times where I dubbed him Sir Jerkwad.

 

But I'm with you, I'll find the OTP for my Inquisitor just like I have in the other games.

Oh don't worry about it Adela, you're not a 'baddie'.  Some of the best games have characters in them that drive you mental.  I think all that really matters with companions is that you have a reaction to them, that they provoke an emotion from you.  Dislike or annoyance are just as valid a response as all the warm fuzzy 'wub' emotions.  Feel free to loathe Vivianne as much as you want, just don't touch her boots....they're MINE.

Military Uniforms, over the years, have changed to be more practical, but once upon a time, military uniforms were quite elaborate, and got more elaborate the higher your rank. I'm not really a expert on military fashion or anything, but it seems as though it did indeed have a basis in historical fact. Here are some pictures of uniforms over the years from different countries. Some are for show only, but many were worn during combat. Can you imagine how uncomfortable??

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It may seem like I'm being argumentative on purpose but really I just want to illustrate my point that perhaps Viv isn't completely a vain, shallow fashionista.

 

 

as a former military wife I have to say that the more "fancy" uniforms are called  ASU's (army service uniform) witch mostly was  warned on special occasions such as balls or funerals or awards,  now   ACU's (army combat uniform) is mostly worn in combat and its not so comfortable or fancy looking... thats what im trying to get at... the 2nd and 3rd image confirm that
