I never got into the ME world. I tried ME2 but it's not my bag so I didn't even finish it. What were some of the differences between the goodbye in ME3 and the two DA games?

Well, each companion was spread out in this big war zone, you run over to each of them and you get a proper conversation with them, the ones you're in a romance with is the sweetest goodbye because both Shepard and the LI get upset etc. Kaidan's one was very sad and kinda hot cos he grabs Shep and snogs his/her face off. The extended cut goodbye between the LI and Shep at the beam run is even more sad. Your best bet is to watch them on YouTube because describing it doesn't do it justice lol.

I've always felt that the DA goodbyes prior the the main battle have been a bit lacklustre, especially in DA2.

DA2's goodbyes felt like the devs went "Oh crap.... I guess we need to have them say bye or something" as a last minute deal. I'm going to check YouTube for ME3 now.

Tali's goodbye in the EC is like a goddamn knife in the heart. She starts sobbing and begging you to come back to her.

Ah, jeez just watched those Kaidan good byes on youtube. Damn... for a game I've never really played properly, I sure have a crush on him. That kiss was awesome...altho, honestly, in both I watched, she had a damn microphone in the way! WTF?

Lola - I don't get Mormons at all with the Templars, but that's me. Also, those endings were well done. I felt the urgency, whereas in DA2 I did not. DA - kinda. I knew we were in for a nasty battle. That ME3 was totally choatic though and really gave that end of the world feel.

R2 - agreed on the kiss. Reminds me of Fenris' first grabby smooch.

I meant in its strictness, not its actual beliefs etc lol.

Urgh I know, all of those beam run goodbyes tore my heart out! Especially as we never see Shep and the crew reunite. Heavily implied or not I was gutted that we don't get told 100% that it happens. I really hope they don't do something like that in any of the Dragon Age games.

Gah I've been going crazy if my Mshep reunites with Jack, he destroyed everything and lived.  That crazy betch needs to be a crazy laid betch...  Though seriously, they need to keep mass effect stuff in the mass effect universe and the dragon age stuff in the dragon age universe.  That includes multiplayer option!  Stay away from my DA game*hiss*

Agreed. I worry that they'll look at how well the companion death scenes and drama that happened in ME3 was recieved and try to imitate it with our companions (both past and present), or try to make DA3 extra dark and gritty and full of woe lol.

I really hope they don't, they killed off way too many of companions in ME3 I still miss Thane and Mordin.  Both series are two different series, keep the plots different...  I honestly wouldn't be surprised if DA3 was dark and gritty though, it seemed to be going in that direction around the end of DA2..

Yeah, plus it made sense that some companion's should die in ME3, which made it more poignant because Shepard and us as the player had bonded with them over a few games. In the Dragon Age games we get a new protagonist each time, so why would a new character be bothered if some companion or lover of the Warden/Hawke dies? If the companion is killed then it would done solely to upset us with little relation to the storyline.

So I was browsing through some of the other threads just now, peeked into the DA3 Companion Speculation and saw this comment : "I want Cassandra, that Grey Warden, Shale, and a Sexually Aggressive Kossith Healer."
I LOL'd at "sexually aggressive". I'm gonna heal you and then it's on, punk!

But it does make me wonder what our favorite Knight Captain would think of traveling with a sexually aggressive kossith healer? Like a combination of Isabela and Sten! Or Zevran and the Arishok!

Why does the thought of a "Sexually Aggressive" Kossith scare me? Might just be me but if a Kossith was an LI I'd actually like a bit more of a mental/emotional link to them instead of just pure sex(nothing wrong with sex though!) :\\... I don't think Cullen would understand most of it but the results of such a party would bring much amusement.

Oh man.... either of those combos is lethal! lol Could you imagine the Arishok making those sleazy Zev type comments to your PC. I'm sure they wouldn't be as suave either. Cullen would all be steppin' up to defend your honor. Or worse if you and he had a thang goin' on. It'd be like David and Goliath. LOL

Because Saarebas usually have their horns cut off and capped though assuming said healer kossith is a Qunari kossith.
