So, so, so late to this but I feel the need to voice my anger at white washed Vivienne. Who be messin' up my girl's beautiful skin, Goddamn it. 

 

Why must so many people be made of so much suck?  

 

Because some people like to delude themselves into thinking there exists a world tailored just to their tastes?   It's like the Isabela white-washing nonsense all over again.

 

If nothing else, it would make her facial features look just bizarre. Unless they're changing that too.

I'm referring to a fanart that's been going around tumblr, apparently. Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread, and I don't have to see it to want to flip tables over it.

And just look at how gorgeous and beautiful and down right glorious she is. 

Before the character kit came out and we just got glimpses of her, I was reminded of that Nefertiti bust. Now that the details are out, I can see the differences, but I think the regality is still there.

ok........... so  after a long convo with Nick,(the environment artist/ shader artist ) according to him this is how the room *should* look like with candle lights although not modeled yet (still a few more tweaks  remaining to the lighting...)

 

 

 

 

OK this is the render that we were trying to go for.....(there will be another prop next to the bed such as a night stand with 3 candles on it and then a red lyrium viel on the floor thats spilled.... and... other things...........) Thank you Nick for helping me out with the lights and shading of the cloth materials

 

Adela, do you mean Nick, one of the devs??  I mean. wow. The lighting looks perfect, still with the light from the window, but obviously with white light on the other side of the room. Very nice. 

 

Anyhoo, it looks so amazing! I love the ambiance you've created. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

I don't know if I saw the right one, but it was a beautifully done piece of artwork. Having said that, however, it looked nothing like Vivienne, whom I also think looks beautiful. All I can say is: to each their own. And I won't be using a mod that would do that. It takes away from her uniqueness.

If you really want to know about Ortolan Bunting...

Ahhh. Gotta love the mentality of thinking a napkin will hide your identity and/or actions from the supposed All Seeing Eye. 

 

Regardless, I wonder if they're making a dark humoured funny, or if she really does end up being that ruthless seeming.

 

But on a happier fluffier note.. of all the foods left, which do you all think Cullen could represent the most?

 

Strawberry parfait? Bananas foster? Parfait implies layers, at least to me. Sweet sweet layers!!

 

Bananas foster.. sweet, boozy, and rich. And sometimes nutty. Parfait seems more likely, if he is one of the foods.

 

Though really I'd of picked something that develops better flavour the more it ages.

 

And I still want to know who surprise meatballs is!

 

This also leaves deceptive wax fruit back on the table, as some pondered if Vivienne was that.

Well I've never had or heard most of the foods, except the ortolan, so I couldn't really comment. Given your descriptions, Xendria, I'd guess the banana foster was the Iron Bull, given his rumoured personality. What was the list again?

Scotch bonnet candy, chili dog, surprise meatballs, deceptive wax fruit, giant rump roast, bananas foster, strawberry parfait, tequila + Skittles, shortbread is what's left. 

 

Mary Kirby, I think, said Luke was specific about the tequila and Skittles, a handful of Skittles and a swig of tequila. I believe he's writing the female elf people are calling Sera.

 

As to the rest, we haven't been given enough clues to guess, unless we already sorta know the character. I think someone speculated Varric for shortbread? Ha! Given Iron Bull's personality, I personally thought of giant rump roast.
