But on a happier fluffier note.. of all the foods left, which do you all think Cullen could represent the most?

Strawberry parfait? Bananas foster? Parfait implies layers, at least to me. Sweet sweet layers!!

Bananas foster.. sweet, boozy, and rich. And sometimes nutty. Parfait seems more likely, if he is one of the foods.

Though really I'd of picked something that develops better flavour the more it ages.

And I still want to know who surprise meatballs is!

This also leaves deceptive wax fruit back on the table, as some pondered if Vivienne was that.

I am really bad at guessing at this sort of thing.

So we know Viv is Ortolan Bunting. What about the other "confirmed" companions, Cassandra & Varric? Maybe we can narrow it down a bit.

I had to look up half of the foods on that list because I wasn't familiar with them (I think I may need to sample bananas foster, you know, for science).

If you really want to know about Ortolan Bunting...

As you said nutty, it may mean like actually nutty. As in crazy. Which might be Baldy. But I can't see him being that boozy.

So its
Ortolan - Vivienne
Skittles and Tequila - Sera
Shortbread - Varric (?)
Strawberry Parfait - Cullen (?)
Scotch Bonnet Candy -
Chilli Dog -
Deceptive Wax Fruit -
Surprise Meatballs -
Giant Rump Roast -

With, Beardface, Baldy, IB, Cassandra, and the maybe Cole left over.

Scotch bonnet candy, chili dog, surprise meatballs, deceptive wax fruit, giant rump roast, bananas foster, strawberry parfait, tequila + Skittles, shortbread is what's left.

I agree with whoever originally suggested that the "deceptive wax fruit" was Cole. Appears human on the outside/at a distance, but upon closer inspection...

Giant rump roast could be Iron Bull if his personality still matches the Survey Leak. Tequila & Skittles is probably Sera. This is hard.

I already know Varric and I still can't decide which one belongs to him.

Deceptive Wax Fruit for BEM (bald elf mage) if he is in fact a Tevinter magister who fits Dorian's description somewhat (not what he seems).

What is scotch bonnet candy? It sounds boozy and teeth rotting.

I'd say Varric is the chili dog. Tastes so good but oh man the bullshit you have to take. XD

I only paired Iron Bull with the roast, because the description describes him as sorta a boozing amusing type. Speculation seems to like to add wenching to that list, though there's no real evidence. I think. I guess mainly I was thinking of the word "giant". Though really any boozy could go towards him. Varric as well, probably.

Deceptive wax fruit is very intriguing, though. I wonder if we'll even learn all their foods till we play, as that seems like something we might not want to know, if for instance it ends up being added to a character that deceives and betrays us. Knowing off the bat that's their food would give it away. Unless it was thought of for entirely different reasons.

What is Scotch Bonnet Candy? Does it really have Scotch in it? That sounds like Cullen to me. An aged Scotch. Candy... he's sweeter than you might think. He's a bit of a little boy at times, especially when shy around girls (and my male inquisitor, cough cough).

I'm glad it's not just going over my head because I'm English.

I would say the scotch candy sounds like Cullen. I say this just because of the 'scotch' and 'candy' paired together. I have no idea what it actually is.

Edit: Saying that, I could also see anything to do with scotch being paired with Beardy Grey Warden too. Just going by appearances/what little we've seen of him in concept art.

Yep, it seems the deceptive wax fruit fits too many people.

Same with all the booze things!

I couldn't think of who could be chili dog... until HurricaneGinger's description.

This discussion is already making me hungry!I'm really curious about the surprise meatball guy/gal.

I wonder, whom of the potential followers we've heard about so far, sounds chocolaty enough to surprise us by turning out to be a meatball... :P

Alrighty then. Apparently a Scotch bonnet is a chili pepper. So I'm assuming the candy is one of those spicy candies? I can't find anything about them except the original pepper thing, so I'm just going to go with that.

A spicy candy.

Maybe not like cinnamon candy, I was thinking a pepper sweet, like how some chocolates are infused with chili peppers.

Hmm...It seems we're having a lot of  spicy and boozy foods on the list. Not to mention the Candy!Sounds rather promising...

If Mr. Chrome Dome's character kit is revealed next, I'm sure that might give more guessing points towards his eats. But then again, we still can't settle on Varric. Or Cassandra.. hmm.. No telling if they'll admit which food, yet. I'm surprised Vivienne's was admitted. But they might be more willing for ones already revealed.

And I still say Cullen better fits a food or drink that only gets better the next day or something that ages well, the longer the flavours develop.

Scotch Candy makes me think of Grey Warden guy. For no particular reason, he just happened to be the one to pop in my head. If not him, Cole is the other one that comes to mind.

As far as I'm concerned every companion in every DA game ever is a wax fruit.

Can I just confirm, in this picture those red flags are the Dalish travelling around, right?:

Ahhh. Gotta love the mentality of thinking a napkin will hide your identity and/or actions from the supposed All Seeing Eye.

Regardless, I wonder if they're making a dark humoured funny, or if she really does end up being that ruthless seeming.

If Cullen's one of them my initial guesses leaned towards either shortbread (sweet, blond,* stiff, unassuming) or surprise meatballs (cojones that came as a surprise to many players at the end of DA2), but I'm sure if he's in DAI there's a lot of characterization we haven't seen yet that would make one of these make more sense than my guesses...

*though I am in the "liked him better ginger" camp

Shortbread improves as it ages, so it fits the bill. It's simple & straightforward, but rich with flavour and texture.

Yum.

Why is the font size in the replies so massive all of a sudden?

Also has anyone ever played Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines? Is it any good? I'm thinking of buying it.

I played it, I liked it, its pretty old now so the graphics might not be that great anymore, it lets you choose your gender but you cant customize it, there's not that much of a story compared to the 1st one tho, its mostly action, you can switch from 1st person to 3rd person if you want, also you can choose what clan you want to play
