OMG, I love it! Helen Mirren as Flemeth? Rosario Dawson?? Idris Elba as Duncan??? nomnomnomnom
I actually could see Rosario Dawson as Isabela. And he eventually said that Idris Elba could play any role. ![]()

Yes. Google "dragon age wiki heraldry"

Yes, I'll see if I can find a link because it's kind of hard to describe clearly. It's a mask on a shield that's either pink or coral in color.

is it a lion? I seem to recall, very hazily, a lions head being associated with Orlais.
*nope, I'm wrong! it's a mask
So I have a question for everyone to ponder. Why do some Cullen-detractors claim to hate the Bethany scene? (post-Deep Roads scene when she is taken to the Circle)
Cullen is polite and civil, if stern. He calls her "Mistress Bethany," which is kind of cute (and so him).
He does not bring a contingent of templars; he comes alone.
He does not take her by force; he says she needs to come, and she comes.
Doesn't he even say (kind of posturing) that he COULD come down on the Hawke family for harboring an apostate (which is, in his defense, highly illegal), but he won't.
Wow, what an *******! I mean, really? I don't get it.
Exactly this. He avoided it as long as he could, and was respectful and polite in the doing. I got the impression that he gets why families would, even if he disagrees (although I'll admit that may be me projecting. *grin*).
I'm sure this has come up somewhere & sometime in this epic topic, but I hope Cullen has this sort of look and feel if he's in DAI. World-weary, gritty with a tender core.
Can't resist but repost this from the old, old [edit: old] thread. It's from the same flick, Ironclad with James Purefoy (meow). Manip by LadyAvilia.

For my two cents, I don't think anyone knows this is a templar symbol. It really just shows up on the shields in DA:O. I'd go with either Orlais (altho my guess is that's too secular for the templars, since their allegiance isn't to the City/country but the Chantry), or the plain ole sword of mercy. [[for inspiration, you could look at the Orlais concept art from WoT. Lots of Andraste faces, like Sebastian's belt]]

yea cause i think i remember in DA2 in the chantry there were these massive candle but I cant remember weather they had the chantry symbol carved on them or the Kirkwall symbol.. so thats why I was asking Im gonna try and see witch symbol looks better the sword of mercy one or the chantry one, cause your right the templars dont have an allegiance to the city/country

All I remember is red. Lots and lots of red drippy candles in the Kirkwall chantry. They also had those red tapestries with the Chantry sunburst logo. Don't remember much from the DA:O chantries, except the pointy roofs.

I don't know which character said it, but I adore them already!

He actually did bring at least one other templar with him. You can only see them standing off in the corner of Gameln's shithole for a short moment when Bethany and Cullen are leaving.
But yeah I saw that scene as little more than a templar doing his job.
Does anyone have every Hawke reaction to this?
I think what annoyed me the most was when you go to the gallows in ACT 2 and Cullen is nice and wishes you congratulations on your success...there is NO dialogue to ask about Bethany if you are playing a Warrior or Rogue.
I would have loved to been able to hear Cullen say..."We are taking care of your sister." or "Your sister is doing well."
The only thing we hear is that Leandra has visited Bethany which is good but it was NEVER explained why Hawke couldn't. ![]()

We do hear about Bethany one other time, although not from Cullen. The girl that Anders almost kills will say something about Bethany being a good teacher or something like that.

here is one with the agressive hawke I think

I like how Cullen stays calm even after Hawke, goes all clenched fists "Over my dead body" at him...He's totally zen!
I'll bet he'd totally be used to that kind of reaction by then.
