Ive always wondered if Alistair was Duncan's lover.. I mean Alistair was... very very VERY touched/upset and all that when Duncan was gone  he spoke of him a bit wayy too much of a  "straight guys confort zone"  Like he sort of had feelings beyond just that of a mentor

Not that I'd care if it was the case, but I don't think so. I think he saw him somehow as a father. And I doubt he'd romance someone if he was In love with Duncan, based on his grief.

I also saw it this way. Duncan was Alistair's mentor. He really looked up to and admired that man. He was a substitute father... think of the parental figures Alistair had in his life. Complete crap.

I doubt Alistair had any sort of sexual feelings towards Duncan. He was definitely much more fatherly to him.

 

I mean, Alistair saw Duncan as a man whom he feels actually cared for what *he* actually wanted and what *his* feelings were and then he just dies. Which from his past, his feelings or what he wanted were things definitely never considered. Duncan must have felt like a godsend to Alistair.

To be honest, I think Alistair might have held stronger feelings, and just never quite understood what he was feeling. What might have seemed to him as mentor-like love for Duncan might have been indicative of something more.

Thats what kind "bothers" me a lil bit cause he could have felt the same way with the male warden.... cause they did spent quite a bit of time togheter after all but .. alas... nothing there I would have loved to romance alistair with one of my male wardens

Regardless of the nature of the relationship, I really enjoyed seeing it, particularly in how it developed Alistair's character after Duncan had passed.

Preaching to the choir. I sincerely wish Alistair could have been romanceable by my male Amell, since we were only limited to one s/s per gender. Granted, I loved Zev's romance, but still it kind of sucked being stuck with a single romance option. That being said, I was also really happy for a brotherly relationship between my Warden and Alistair, which was really amazing and well done.

It could be possible that it was as eluvianix said (he didn't realize his feelings). I just didn't see that way. One of the great things about these games is that there's a lot open to interpretations.

Agreed on Alistair's brother relationship with the Warden.
As for romances, unless they'll increase the number of romances (which would be my favourite approach), I hope they'll stick with DA2's approach. Everyone should have a choice in who they should romance.
