hmm formatting fail... anyhoo, I think what I said was, I read some of that over on the chantry hypocrisy thread. Egad.
Admittedly, I fall for the bait every time, so shame on me. But using a few video game characters' actions to make people's real-life religious beliefs look bad just to me seems iffy, and makes one's point rather moot as well. Today I'm defending Christianity - tomorrow, who knows?
Actually, I thought you did a pretty good job of trying to nip that one in the bud early on. LOL you and Lola! And, after all, you were also defending the forum rules, as one of the devs pointed out... Ah, BSN... /facepalm
And that picture is HILARIOUS! You're a gem! haha
LOL just doing my part to keep the squee in this here serious discussion thread...

Okay, new question for you guys (assuming we've never done this one) - do you think Cullen has any irrational fears? Like heights, or mice, or riding horses?
Oh, shoot, now back to the serious...

Heh, that would be interesting. I think a fear of horses would be hilarious. I mean he'd never need or encounter one in the middle of Lake Calenhad, and given how many I've seen running around Thedas, horses seem to be rather rare anyway.

I would just laugh myself silly if the devs put in a nod like that to the no-horses in DA complaints!
.............
Cullen and the horse each eyed the other askance. "Maybe this isn't such a good idea after all..." he said, a sweat starting to break out on his forehead.
"Cullen, we'll never get to Val Royeaux at this rate. Is there a problem?" new PC asked.
"I... I've just never ridden one before... well, never even... seen one, in point of fact." When she raised a skeptical eyebrow, he continued to babble on defensively. "After all, they are not that common in Thedas.... And, what need do Circle templars have for horses...? This is why we keep the mages all in one place... no traveling needed. And, if we do there are ships... nice big ships... who don't bite. Or look at you. Or smell..."
New snarky companion laughed. "Huh. Will you look at that. The templar is actually scared!"
"I beg your pardon!" Cullen said, his color rising. "I merely have some misgivings about the safety of this form of travel!"
"Cullen, you face down demons and blood mages everyday, but horses are too much?" PC asked.
"Are you certain these creatures aren't demonic in nature themselves? Look at those eyes!"
"Cullen..." PC started to say.
"...and did you see the size of those teeth?" he continued, shuddering.
"Did you see the size of my teeth? Get on the horse."
"But..."
"If it bothers you so much, we can find you a blindfold," PC added, smiling sweetly.
"Now this starts to get interesting," snarky companion said with a chuckle.
